When people say 'you look different- have you had your hair cut or something' and I say 'no, my face is thinner!'

Also, Pure Gym don't have contracts, which is soemthing that really put me off the other gyms liek Fitness First and Bannatynes, you get tied in for a year or more

I go to the Manchester Pure Gym, it's brilliant!! I only pay £9.99 a month though becuase I joined before it was built! They are very basic, but gradually they are putting classes on and they're starting a boot camp next week- I'd really recommend them!

I measure my waist, hips, thighs and arms each month. Plus I take my body fat and muscle mass from my super clever scale each month too!

Hey hun, You already know that long-term nothing really beats eating less and moving more, but I completely understand your motivations for wanting to boost your weightloss. The girl I used to live with did this detox diet for a week before she went on holiday last year. She lost 5lb in a week. Also, she found that the…

I always eat breakfast, but I do agree that it starts me eating for the rest of the day, I'm almost hungrier when I eat breakfast. On the rare days I don't eat breakfast, I can go to mid-afternoon without feeling hungry. I'm interested to see other people's experiences on this thread. I know how important breakfast is, but…

I'm exactly the same today! I've just posted a topic "I'm sooooo hungry". A lot of kind MFPers have put some good suggestions on there have a look!
-
Thanks everyone for your advice, I've had a lot of water today so am pretty sure its not sneaky dehydration pretending to be hunger! And I'm generally happy, not a particularly stressful day etc. Its a bit odd really, I'm usually hungry for me meals right before I eat, but never straight after I've already eaten! I don't…

Good luck with it! This is a great site and I hope you find it useful and the other MFPers as supportive as I do!
-
Don't worry about what you haven't done in the past, there's no point its over now. Just start again today, and keep moving forwards towards your goals! good luck

I drink Brit and Tang Pu'Er Ginger tea (I got bored with green). There are 5 calories per cup, but it's very tasty and is supposed to aid digestion and relieve mucular aches and pains (from the gym!!). Happy tea drinking! :drinker:

Going to ballet class at about 7 and wishing I was thin like all the other girls in my class!

I do exactly the same, and have lost consistently over the last month (although am slightly concerned I've hit a plataeu after today's weigh in :ohwell: )
-
Wow, this is a weird thread....
-
Sorry I missed the weigh in! I'm 206 at the moment, the scale hasn't budged this week which I'm a bit disapoointed about, but hey, onwards and upwards (or downwards!)

Hey, My comfort zone is the treadmill on an incline like you do, but I do try and mix it up and go on the cross-trainer, bikes and stair walker (a killer!!) too. I'm also experimenting with interval training on each cardio machine. I found a good 'beginners' guide to interval training (that can be used on any cardio…

I'll eat pretty much anything but I have a friend who won't eat meat off the bone too, or tomatoes or tomato based sauces (including ketchup) or spicy food, or runny food next to dry food, or cold food next to hot food. She also doesn't like cheese. I never invite her over for dinner!

me too!

Me too! I yawn for the first 10 minutes usually!
I just figured I'm a freak. Just goes to show you that now matter how strange you are, there's probably someone, somewhere, doing the same thing!:drinker:
haha!

Totally agree! My strapless bra is like scaffolding, or as my crude boyfriend puts it my 'melon sacks'. Can't wait to get a nice one and start wearing strapless things again in the summer! Good luck!

Hilarious! My work colleagues are looking at me like I'm crazy now for laughing to myself in the office!
