I just thought he was short... sorry :-)

Green with envy huh? Oh, thats just your teams color.... JJK. I feel the same way about the Skins, Cowgirls, and Eagles

Brady is an arrogant *kitten*... NY Giants fan here so loved 07 and would love to see a repeat (though not as satisfying since we wouldn't be ending their "perfect season"). Belichick is a great coach, that's as far as my love for the pats go.

I have one like this... http://www.amazon.com/Omron-HBF-514C-Composition-Sensing-Monitor/dp/B0020MMCDE/ref=sr_1_22?s=hpc&ie=UTF8&qid=1327069195&sr=1-22 I find that it is very accurate and can track multiple people (comes in handy when married). I also like that it will give you an actual BMI reading. It is more accurate…

carrieogg is right. It is impossible for you to gain 1.4 lbs of fat if you are staying within your calories. It is just water weight. Drink lots of water so your body realizes it doesn't need to hold on to it and will let what it is holding go. Just keep going. Good luck!

As I said it is a theory. I personally don't believe the THEORY that it helps with metabolism but I do believe it helps with not getting hungry and then eating too much. I was just explaining the concept since she didn't understand. Either way you can look it up online and find dozens of sites that say that it does and…

When do you work out? Usually first thing in the morning. I have a gym in my condo building but I also have one at my office so sometimes I'll workout there. I also walk to work (it is only a couple blocks. What do you take to work? I usually bring my lunch (leftovers from my wife's wonderful dinner the night before and…

There is some truth to the "reving" the metabolism theory. Our digestive system uses a huge amount of our energy and keeping it going is a great way to keep calories burning and our metabolism going. So eating low calorie snacks to with your digestive system running you burn more calories than if you just added those…

In the morning I will make 8oz of fresh carrot and apple juice. It is only about 100 Cals. I always have a bigger dinner than I do any other meal of the day. You aren't "supposed" do to that by conventional weight loss standards but it is how I work. Do what works best for you. If you are having trouble later at night and…

I'm going to go out on a limb and say I thought he meant that those who cheat regularly are weak and that's why they do it, not necessarily you. I could be off base but hope that makes you feel better. I honestly use to do "cheat" days and it was because I couldn't resist temptation so maybe that is why I read it that way.…

So we have one success story. Anyone else given it a shot?
-
Thanks, maybe it is a cold and I just feel good because of the changes. I will say I've been drinking fresh veggie juice every day as well as a 2oz wheat grass shot. I"m sure I'm getting all of my vitamins and iron but I'll keep on it. At least for a while, if it keeps up I'll just call the Dr. Thx.

I was thinking about this but when I was looking online it seemed like you have to be on a raw diet or similar. But now that I think about it I think the last time I started dieting I started to have similar symptoms and quit my diet right away because I was "sick" (I would have found any excuse most likely)
-
Yeah, I guess it sounds like it but it feels different. I don't know how to describe it but I feel fine (actually great) except for those symptoms. Normally with a cold I'll have a fever or be tired etc. and I'm not experiencing any of that.

I've never seen it but i juice daily. 2oz shot of wheat grass and ABC (apples, beats, carrots) or some kind of green juice. I only drink 8-12oz in the morning but it is awesome!

I was never suggesting that you deny yourself the food you love all the time, just stay within your daily calorie budget. I haven't gone wanting for anything, I just plan it in my daily budget. It just seems unhealthy to binge for an entire day. It may be effective but I don't see how it can be healthy.

baking soda

I understand the theory behind it. But is it really "healthy" to eat like that? Granted your body will burn the calories at some point but does your body have a unhealthy increase in insulin or anything? And you stay under your WEEKLY calorie goal still?

Love this. I've been getting confused because I see where super fit people who have lost over 100lbs are saying you can eat what you want as long as it is within your Micros (whatever that is) or calorie budget. I like eating good for you foods but sometimes find it hard to eat all my calories so (like today for lunch)…

Just so I understand, do you exercise this all away the same day? Or do you not exercise on your spike day?
-
Wow, Gratz! I had close to the same stareting weight as you. I wasn't ever very muscular excpet in my legs. I'll try to read all 1 million pages of this thread and hope I'll get some tips from you. thanks for sharing!

luckily mine are almost gone... Shouldn't have been there in the first place.

Only my opinion here, but I think it is because I feel good. When I don't exercise I may get "bored" or just don't feel as good. Eating makes your feel good (chemically in the brain somehow) but when you already feel good you don't have the need to eat as much. (again, my opinion so don't start a flame war about not citing…

Love this. I was reading a post yesterday about how women hated to be called voluptuous because it made them feel like someone was calling them fat. My first response is "well, are you" and my second is "if it bothers you change it" . It may not be the nicest description in the world but if you're Fat then you're Fat, if…

yes, I am the same way. My wife has started to work out with me in the mornings. It use to be my own time to be in my own head but now it’s different. I feel bad because I know she is trying to be supportive and do it with me, but when I work out that is my time to focus wholly on myself and I can’t do that when she is…
