  • He said, "Of course I don't want you to lose weight. Someone else might find you attractive, and you would leave me."
  • No reason to be rude. I thought it was funny.
  • I've added it as a "walk" for the duration before, but I would love one of these websites that will give me a caloric ballpark.
  • I like running on a treadmill because it pushes me harder. If I run outside, I slow down more and more, but a treadmill keeps me on pace.
  • To quote my trainer when I asked him: "meat is dense in a physical sense, it's much harder to digest, so it sticks in the stomach longer and it has more protein than cheese." Made sense and was an actual answer. I appreciate all you guys' responses though.
  • I'm more checking to see if this is a possible bigger issue than I understand. I've had a lot of doctors who didn't want to listen to me in the past, and while I'm waiting for my next one, I thought I'd brainstorm with the community to see if anyone had any ideas as to why this happens.
  • I also feel it necessary to point out that this is just an example of an ongoing issue for at least a decade. If I have a salad with eggs and cheese, I'm empty. I add an ounce of Ham or turkey to it, I'm full. Don't even talk to me about soy. This isn't just a Lean Cuisine issue - this is an everything without meat issue.
  • I have a Lean Cuisine meal every day for lunch. They help me keep portions and save my "real" food preparation for dinner. I have absolutely no problem with their products that have meat in them; however, I have this problem with anything that has cheese as its main protein. I don't know where you got the quote, "I'd love…
  • Okay, here's what I've learned over the past decade: Take one week to show yourself what you're really eating. Be completely honest and look at it honestly. Be positive toward yourself - then look to improve. Every time someone tells you to "just eat less" consider punching them in the face. I bought into that so many…
  • I'm not asking about just the protein powder. I'm asking because (where we saw it) it was marketed as "weight loss supplements." I don't trust anything under that banner without asking around to see what the deal is. If I was only asking about the protein powder, I can see why that would be confusing, but I see the three…
  • I gave up on ellipticals because I'm so uncoordinated I fall off. Not really a chubby thing - I did it when I was 110...
  • Final confession of the night: I have kept this forum open all day and refreshed it every couple of hours so I could read everything!
  • I get one cookie if I workout for more than 20 minutes. It's 85 calories, and I figure I can afford it! (Note: I used to get one cookie for every 10 minutes. I feel this is better )
  • Okay first - Thank you for this thread! It makes me feel so much better! I have 2: 1. I won't let my hubby see me do Insanity because I'm afraid he'll laugh (even though he swears he won't). For that matter, I can't bring myself to leave the house to workout because I don't want people making fun of me. 2. I don't have…
  • IMO, the best ice cream "alternative" is a small serving of homemade ice cream. That way you control what goes into it and know how much you're having.
  • I want to lose 69, and I just started really trying. I'd love some support!
  • Livestrong.com has a great ability for you to put in everything that's in a recipe and figure out what the approximate nutritional content will be. Here's an example for one I put in. http://www.livestrong.com/recipes/peanut-butter-cranberry-energy-bars/
  • I'd love to join in on this. I'm 219 and looking to lose 69 pounds. I'd love to have some more people who are going for something like this!
