  • Have you gone to their website??? Under the Menu tab there is an option to download the nutritional value for all their dishes. That might make it a little easier to choose.
  • don't give up,....you'll do fine. However, not sleeping really affects weight. I've been going to a sleep doctor for diagnosis of sleep apnea...and when our body doesn't rest it messes up our bodies metabolism...along with other stuff. So before you give up...work on getting some rest. 6-8 hours of restful sleep a night…
  • Ok...my water is still way up there...I'm doing ok with my calories....but this week's challenge is ....my enemy. ;) Especially this week...I'm a little under the weather and hardly feel like being out of bed the thought of actually moving is exausting....So no one hold it against me for non-participation. I keep…
  • I think a good multi-vitamin wuld be a great addition. I understand not likeing meds...but ... You can find a good multi-vitamin with lots of good stuff in it. Some other things you might want to look for in the multi-vitamin is iron (don't over do it), vitamin A, Calcium, and folic acid....extra Omega 3 (DHA) is also a…
  • Remember that muscle weighs more than fat. So measure yourself! Those changes might be even more uplifting than the scale number. ;0) ...and don't get dishearted. This is a life change...not just a quick fix. 1 pound a week is actually THE healthiest weight loss. Keep up the good work!
  • I would also shoot for just one serving of soda...even diet a day. I also crave bubbles! I thought I was the only one!!!! ;0) I find some 0 Cal LOW sodium flavored water with bubbles....perrier and there are lots of others out there now. But I get the satisfaction from the bubbles and I don't miss the soda nearly as much.
  • If you can limit the soda's that really will be the greatest start of all. Even the 0 calorie diet sodas are a road block to weight loss. As for the water...for me I find 0 calorie LOW sodium flavored water with bubbles in it. For me it has helped me kick the soda habit. I also use fruit like lemon and lime to squeeze in…

  • Ok....so is water that is flavored included in the count??? Also are waters like Perier included? If so I get around 104 oz per day (I'm a heavy drinker... ) I also get 3 cups of coffee and possibly 3 glasses of iced tea. So what counts in the water challenge???
  • I feel the same way! Good job on the loss so far....can't wait till all of us get down to the UNDER 200 Club
  • This is so cool.... Count me in! SW:231 (December 19th, 2008) GW:141 I haven't really given a lot of thought to the in between goals. I guess that'll be my first goal ;) To sit down and plot a plan Created by MyFitnessPal.com - Online Calorie Counter
  • Congrats!!! Keep it up! Ya know I've learned recently that when you have lots of artificial sweetners in your diet (like in soda and some low fat/light foods) it actually makes you crave sweets MORE! Thus you are hungry more often. Do you like any fresh fruits and veggies??? You can typically eat a bunch of those (other…
  • Ok...I'm new to the forums...and it doesn't have to do with this yummy casserole, but what does BUMP mean???
  • Timechange... My biggest thing is that, well like most of us, I LOVE food!!! So I have to take a few minutes each night to plan my full day's meals. I measure and put them in containers to take with me. Some of the time I even go ahead and plug the numbers in. But I take the time to look and make sure I'm getting the…
  • I'm not a BIG fan on the cooking in the morning...and I have to say that the coffee doesn't normal begin until after I'm out of the house. But a nice bowl of oatmeal and a cup of coffee is just enough to get me going and stop my belly from rumbling. Then a few hours later once my mind is awake I eat a serving of some good…
  • Ok...I have to ask...Where are you getting all your recipes? They are all sounding very yummy. Plan on trying this one and the broccoli bread this weekend!
  • Lauren...after reading your post I wanted a burger so bad it just about hurt. I went and bought a big ole portabello mushroom cap, grilled it, topped it with some sprouts, onions, and a thin spread of light mayo....delicious....and way more filling than the old Jack in the Box burger I thought I wanted! So...I…
  • So cool to see that most of us stayed on track...or got right back on it. Some of you were WAY on track! I didn't even come close to my work out. Hmmmm....maybe next time I'll make sure to get that in and then I'll splurge a little more. I have to say that I was amazed how I was still satisfied! Also very cool to see that…
  • Lauren, Quit letting that dress scare you! It's just a dress...and you're going to look great in it. Each day starts new. So if you slipped yesterday...no big.... that was in the past. And moving forward is what gives you endurance...which is what gives you the success. After already losing 40 pounds you KNOW what success…
  • OK so I love football...watching it atleast! ...and I really love all the game time food (no matter what the sport or occassion) However, I'm going to toot my own horn. I survived the food yesterday! I skipped the fried chicken...had a salad, and I skipped the burgers and had a mushroom burger (190 calories with…
  • Do you already take a multi-vitamin though? You might want to just call someone to make sure that you aren't getting too much of a good thing. Too much of a good thing can have detrimental effects.
  • Congrats!!! ...and don't sell yourself short...10 lbs is a lot!!! Keep up the good work!!!
  • Congrats!!! I think more than the mile the fact that you "just did it"..."by yourself" are equally as big of an accomplishment. Especially since JUST doing it and doing it on my own are my two issues.
  • I was counting manually....I had a notebook and everything, with my favorite foods nutritional information and everything. However for the calorie counting I love MFP better. I do still go to the manual way for other information like the vitamins I'm getting in and other stuff like that. I think if it's going to be a life…
  • Congratulations!!!! I'm very happy for you. Best of luck for February!!...and March...and...forever
  • It sounds a little OCD, but I'm so serious about losing this weight this time, so I get me some fruits and veggies for snacks put aside in little premeasured containers and keep them handy. That way if someone pulls out something to eat after dinner I just run to my stash. I also really like edamame...so I steam a serving…
