OK so I love football...watching it atleast! ...and I really love all the game time food (no matter what the sport or occassion) However, I'm going to toot my own horn. I survived the food yesterday! I skipped the fried chicken...had a salad, and I skipped the burgers and had a mushroom burger (190 calories with sprouts and spread!). I thought I was saving my calories for some wings and a few cookies, but I was so satisfied that I stayed with in my calories! On super bowl sunday, even!!!! I'm thinking that's why the Steelers won (beyond them being awesome)...it was their way of giving me an external award!
So what about the rest of you? How did you handle the Super Bowl temptations? I hope everyone had a great day!!!

:noway: :noway: :noway:
I went over but, I'm on track AGAIN today.0 -
Way to Go!!! Congrats!
I ended up staying within my alloted calories, too! I convinced my boyfriend to get Subway sandwiches instead of ordering a pizza and we enjoyed it just as much!!!!0 -
Congratulations on your will-power! I LOVE to over eat on such occasions, so I busted out about 700 cals on the treadmill before the game. I also ate a healthy snack just before going to a party. I checked some calories before hand (Wow! Wings really add up!) so I was armed with knowledge. I comfortably stayed within my daily allowance and didn't feel deprived! Yeah, me!!:happy:0

Haha, I can't believe I made it myself. I had worked two shifts that day, so I only had time for breakfast and lunch (and none of that at-home snacking that ruins me), and a little half hour run, so my calories were way low by the time I got off work. So I got to eat like the piggie I am and still stay 52 calories under budget for the night! I'm glad I didn't have a beer.0

Haha I didn't even log my food yesterday. I was too scared to know what I would say. Although I did only have a small bowl of homemade chili, but the nachos probably sent me over. I didn't really eat anything else yesterday. But the pepsi was a killer I'm sure.
Well at least the Stealers won without paying off the Refs this time  Was a good game.0 -
So cool to see that most of us stayed on track...or got right back on it. Some of you were WAY on track! I didn't even come close to my work out. Hmmmm....maybe next time I'll make sure to get that in and then I'll splurge a little more.
I have to say that I was amazed how I was still satisfied!
Also very cool to see that so many others deal with the same food issues...(for lack of a better word).
Now to see how we all do with Valentines day! :laugh:0 -
I did well... had a bunch of seafood instead of pizza & wings.
2 Crabs, 1 lobster & 2 king crab legs.. I can't eat anymore seafood:sick:0 -
Yeah I was good on Superbowl sunday I had small side of rice and grilled chicken. But they next day I went crazy oh well, maybe it was being around all that food then just made want it so much today, Oh well tomorrow is a new day,
:flowerforyou: Good for you0 -
I went about 49 calories over.
I ran three miles that morning then at a few "baby" meals throughout the day, then enjoyed the food at my in-laws for the game.0 -
congrats, that is so great. I stayed in my calories and didn't eat a whole lot of junk.0
