I am also restarting after putting back a good percentage of what I lost in 2012. Anyone feel free to add me.

I'm just outside London. Also restarting after a bit of a relapse. I have sent you a friend request. Any others feel free to add.

Just picked mine up and love it. I've added most of you but feel free to add me: SidBoggle

I second the FT7 - a great HRM and for that price you can't go wrong.

Hi Jin, I have a fitbit and I love it but it sounds like you would be better off with a standard HRM. The fitbit really is for increasing and monitoring your activity levels; mainly walking and running and it has no way of monitoring your heart rate. It does guess at calories burned based on the amount of effort and speed…

Hi. Feel free to add me. I have lost about 110lb so far but still have a way to go. MFP really has helped me immeasurably this year and I'm sure it can help you too!

Feel free to add me. I am I'm Buckinghamshire.

A cup of tea or black decaf coffee always helps me. If I really want to push the boat out I grab a few Mange Tout from the fridge :-) Oh and I agree with all the above calls for water but too much can mean you are up half the night......

I believe this is because the calculations on MFP always assume you will eat your exercise calories back so you get a lower initial value. I am guessing a bit with the calculations but assuming it has based your value on 1315*1.2 (1578 for sedentary) then deducting 500 would be 1078 but shown as 1200 (as it is considered…

Hi, assuming your BMR of 1453 is correct and you are moderately active (moderate exercise 3-5 times per week) then this sounds right. Apparently you need to be at a 3500 calorie deficit per week to lose 1lb of fat so 500 calories under your TDEE per day would equate to this (as you say, 1753) This all assumes you will not…

I started 28th December 2011 and have lost 88lb so far. The first 20 lb dropped off stupidly quickly so I put that down to water weight and huge Xmas excess :-) Still a long way to go and I am trying to keep a sensible 2lb a week loss from now. Everyone is doing amazingly well!

That is the appetiser sorted, now where is the rest of the horse!

As already mentioned, an HRM is a great investment but I would also recommend a fitbit. This has been my best motivational tool to get much more exercise.

I agree about your doctor. They should be ashamed of themselves coming out with such rubbish. Are you eating enough for the amount of exercise you are doing? You can definitely do this but just maybe get some opinions on your diary if you are comfortable opening it up. Feel free to add me if you like.

Feel free to add me. I have lost a lot but still plenty to go and a good network of friends is definitely helpful.
-
You look bloody fantastic! What an incredible transformation.
-
Feel free to add me. I decided to do something about my weight just after Xmas. MyFitnessPal on the iphone and a fitbit in my pocket have made such a huge difference to my life. You can do it!

Great game - I am sidboggle

it shouldn't be £170. I just bought a polar FT7 for £70 and the flowlink is available on Amazon for £30. For the record the FT7 seems excellent.

The Kinect sports games are fun but I would say that Dance Central and Your Shape are best for exercise. I have Your Shape 2011 which is great and you could probably get that pretty cheap now 2012 is out.
-
Yes I have to lose more than 100 so feel free to add me.

I'm from Bucks and new on MFP. Feel free to add me.

42 and needing to lose plenty so feel free to add me.
