A go-to DVD for me is Jackie - Xtreme Timesaver Training. Cardio and Strength - 30 minutes. When I first did this workout over a year ago I used NO weights, then 3 pound and now I use 5 pound weights. It's about a 250 calorie burn workout according to my HRM. Great for shoulders and arms!

I wouldn't believe you but I have followed the same path. I quit the gym where I was reading magazines while on the treadmill,and then I ramped up my workouts with both strengh and cardio exercises. I never starve myself or deem any food to be forbidden, just manage the quality and quantity. Congrats and continued success…

I did an 8 week workout a while ago called Kettlebody by Brook. It's a 3 DVD set and includes cardio, sculpt and yoga. I did drop some pounds but the inches lost were more significant. I have done parts of P90X. My favorite (of the workouts I have tried) is Core Synergistics. The Kenpo workout is pretty fun too. YES!!! One of my favorites. I can find them in the natural foods section of my local Coborn's grocery store. Three squares after dinner satisfies my need for "a little something sweet" to let my tummy know that we have come to the end of food intake for the day. A great finish!

This works for me: Stop eating when you are no longer hungry, rather than eating until you are FULL. A subtle but important difference. (it was hard at first, now it feels normal)
