  • Hey :) found out anything useful yet? I can relate to the knee pain issue...I've had three meniscus surgeries (on my left knee) and now my second knee sometimes acts up a bit as well :/ hopefully, your knee is doing better by now!
  • Hello everyone! I'm new here (in the group), and although I've been a mfp member since 2011, I have not been active on here for ages. So now I want to get back to exercise, while ensuring that I'm being kind to myself. So, the self-care challenge seemed like a brilliant idea! :) Plan for today: get outside and do a short…
  • 20 year old uni student hoping to lose about 22 pounds :) feel free to add me!
  • Hi :) Personally I haven't tried the SlimFast diet, but my mum tried it a couple of years ago and for her it wasn't particularly successful. At first she lost a couple of pounds, but the she hit a plateau and she got really bored of the shakes after a while since you keep on drinking the same 3 flavours all over again…
  • Hey :) I feel with you! I've already had 3 knee surgeries and those also kept me quite limited in the sports department. What works quite well is swimming, aqua gym or aqua jogging, since the water eases the pressure on the knees. What also works is cycling, at a moderate pace, preferably with friends so you can have a…
  • I don't have to decide on the spot, but I should probably have a good idea what to do in a month or so. I think I'll try to go for the 12 k, but I guess I'll see =) Thanks!! Do you have any training suggestions? @ omma_to_3 : good luck with your 10k! =)

  • I'm also a bit worried about mine: after just some five minutes of jogging (6:20 minutes per km) my heart rate goes up to 200... i don't feel dizzy, but get out of breath (a lot) and get the stitch. any ideas? thanks!
  • heyhey =) is it still possible to join this challenge? i need some motivation =)

  • I'm in as well! So...I'm 17 years old and still a student. ;) I've gained some weight after my 2 knee surgeries (last one in September 2011), which I'd like to get rid of again. Moreover I am participating in a musical (Hairspray!) in which I managed to get a solo part (Little Inez) ^^ Since the premiere is on February…

  • If you don't have any medical problems which might cause problems (i.e. asthma or heart problems) you should be fine, even if your heart rate is higher than 156. When I go jogging, my heart rate often goes up to 190s. I am very tired afterwards, but I have never noticed any other problems. Hence I assume that a heart rate…
