Thank you I will try this

I do AquaFit which sounds somewhat like what you do. MFP does have water aerobics listed in their database. A heart rate monitor that can be wore in the pool would give you a calorie burn applicable to you. I wear my mine Polar HRM in the pool & record the calories that way.

The group is called Swimmers! Click your username at the top of the page, then 2nd from the left on the dark blue band click Groups. In the group search type in Swimmers. From there click join. The group will then be listed on your message boards list in the group section at the bottom.

There is a swimming group here on MFP if anyone if interested. They have been very helpful to me.

Currently use Wendler 5/3/1 beginner program which builds strength gradually. I train on my own but have virtual workout partners here & at JEFIT. I workout at home so can't make suggestions for the gym.

sliders/ gliders under your feet. Can use furniture movers. That's what I do.

All to do with hip rotation to give power to stroke rather than shoulder muscles. Apparently, must faster swimming. Anyone use hip rotation in their technique?

Hi I'm 5' 2" too. In 2006, I was at my heaviest I at 138 lbs. I used weight lifting to reduce that. It is totally doable. I currently weight lift 3 x week & do cardio that has a weight based component. Examples: Aqua Fit, suspension straps, bodyweight exercises. Yes, I'm mostly sedentary outside of the exercise, gardening…

If you live in the US you will probably have more choices. They make moves low impact but still high intensity.

@reastie1 Note: Rip:60 can attach to a door too. There are other brands of these things too. ---- Might want to consider gliders by themselves as the exercises are low impact.
-
I'm into low impact. I do Aqua Fit. Do you have a pool near you? Head is above water whole time. Pushing water makes for a great burning workout. I also do suspension straps. Those I do at home. I got Rip:60 set which includes DVD set, straps & poster with the moves shown. I sub sliders (called gliders but I use furniture…

Get another doctor's opinion. A dietitian could give you more options.

I love my Ninji blender. I would find one you like, then wait for a sale

agree with the people who said to try both ways & see what works. If you do eat before keep it small as another poster said. You need enough energy to do the workout but not have food sitting in the stomach as that is not only uncomfortable but could cause other issues such as throwing up. It will probably depend on your…

When you lose body fat, there will likely be loose, finely wrinkled skin where it was, such as on belly & under arms.( In plank position the stomach skin hangs down & when standing lifting arms the wings under arms show.) While I can see it in the mirror, I look fine standing up (see profile pic). I'm taking all this as a…

5' 2" height. In 2006, 138 lbs. with lots of body fat. Went down to 123 lbs. using lifting. In 2012, intensified fitness program. Now 114 lbs. I like how strong & powerful I feel, now. Can lift bags of dog food upstairs, no problem. Have recently adding in swimming. Once I get better at it, more exercise calories will be…

Weight lifting makes them sit up on my chest better, so body fat loss doesn't make they look less.

I eat cottage cheese with a pinch of cinnamon on it. Each person has different tastes. Find something else that has a high protein value you do like. Go with that.

Hi, I lift weights & love it. I believe compounds lifts are the way to go. squats, bench press, overhead press. deadlift I managed to do 2 chin ups today. Still working on pull ups. Been working on chin ups/ pull ups many months. It is challenging, but doable with a steady, progressive approach and a lot of patience.…

for at the pool I found a Speedo swim suit that perfect for swimming with the crossed straps on the back. For taking my monthly progress photos, I got the one you see in my current profile picture. Both swimsuits were chosen after a lot of trial & error. Fortunately, Sears takes clothes back as long as the tags, etc are…

agree with those who said to drink water. If still hungry, 1st check macros pie graph in MFP App. Then select what's fits into your macros.

Growing own vegetables in standing gardens. Buy in large packages for rolled oats, chicken breasts. Get black beans, nuts, seeds in bulk section. Look for sales such as two for the price of one.
