  • I don't have any pictures but I have a recent experience to cutting my carbs. After watching the documentary "Fat Head" and reading up on the Paleo diet because I was curious and like to learn stuff, I decided to try cutting out some of my carbs. I cut out mostly extra bread and dry cereal. The first few days, I didn't…
  • That's my routine too. I touch up and then have everything nice and folded in the corner. I have no idea why since I would rather just go topless instead of being forced to wear that silly little cover-up that doesn't do anything to hide your breasts anyway. I guess it makes me feel like I have control and that feeling…
  • The last thing I ate was a glass of bubble tea. Black tea, milk, and tapioca pearls. Yummy!
  • I don't knit less, but my projects start getting smaller. I at least get a few rows done a day. On bad weeks I only knit on the weekend.
  • I just recently had a visit and I didn't change how I ate at all. If I knew I wanted something (like-say-chocolate ice cream), then I would eat extra well at lunch time. A big salad instead of a slice of pizza or a sandwich with french fries. Then after dinner I could have my ice cream cone guilt-free because I would still…
  • I don't think it would be bad for a person. I have been going on and off eating more vegetarian based ever since I got my gallbladder out. I started when my gallbladder started making me sick and a lot of fat would cause pain. Eating vegetarian helped me get a lot of fat out of my diet and I started eating better as a…
  • My current favorite is scrambled eggs with bacon. Unfortunately hummus is not out at breakfast or else sometimes I would have a plain pancake with some hummus on it along with some bacon. I recently discovered that I do like bacon. Don't really like sausage as much anymore though. Too greasy for my taste. If I get tired of…
  • I weigh in weekly because it reminds me to stay on track. I got a new scale so I could weigh comfortably. That way I don't feel pressured or shamed to use a public scale in front of people.
  • This looks interesting. If anyone has made these, are they filling?
  • Witch hazel helps me.
  • I've heard that a glass of chocolate milk is good for after an intense workout. I'm not sure of why, but I do remember hearing it said. I normally just have water and some fruit if I'm feeling hungry.
  • I am very similar to you. A year younger, bisexual, short 5'2", and a good geek and knitting nerd. I would be happy to be your friend so we can support each other.
  • I like steamed veggies. I'm still trying to figure out how to like some of them myself and the best I know is to keep trying. I have been watching episodes of Good Eats to try to get recipe ideas and some of them look really good. Mostly I put them on sandwiches and in salads. I have been trying more and more of the…
  • That one is too cute! I might be tempted to do that but I'm not sure if I should do granny squares or miter squares. I knit more than I crochet, so I would have to decide.
  • I found that soda made me thirsty and I would mistake that thirst for hunger. Then I would eat more. It was a viscous cycle. Now I only have soda every once in a while (read mostly on holidays) and only one at a time. I am really trying to drink more water now and I normally have tea. Edited because I can't spell...
  • I'm in college. I've been trying to get back on here and really work at it. I find it difficult because of the lack of freedom I have in my cafeteria. But, I have found that drinking water helps. I keep discovering this and I'm starting to wonder when the knowledge will stick.
  • Hi! I joined a few days ago and decided to see if there were any knitters/crocheters on this website. I'm glad there are. I always love meeting crafty people. I've been knitting since my junior year of high school. I also spin my own yarn, crochet, embroider, and do a little tatting on the side. My favorite thing to knit…
  • Congrats! This is very inspiring to someone like me who is just starting.
