  • Moving from an iPhone 4 to a Samsung Galaxy s3 was a quantum leap in function, intelligent design, screen size, and gorgeous graphics. Love it!!
  • Premise: Woman is reasonably good-looking, smart and has her act together. Question: What do such women spend too much time/energy worrying about and working on, that men don't care about all that much?
  • FWIW -- and I would normally never presume to answer a Q here, other than to back up That Dude -- I've read pretty convincing social-science evidence to back up his response! Yes, it's hard-wired. Every (hetero) man you ever meet spends a split-second (or longer ...) sizing up whether he would sleep with you, *and* every…
  • U R a freakin' RIOT, That Dude. Dammit, I need to get some sleep!!
  • Damn interesting theory which I will think about. You ARE all that and a bag o' chips, aren't you?!
  • Well that works out very well then, because the most unattractive thing a MAN does is revert to (or reveal) his essentially juvenile personality within weeks or months of hooking a desirable woman. A lot of you guys are PROS at keeping it really well hidden until then.
  • Dogs on coke. WOW ... you made me laugh so hard I snorted! (Get it?) Seriously ... that was hilarious.
  • PB on a slice of freshly toasted bread (with skim milk!) has been my favorite snack for ages. But that means: I don't abuse it. It is not exactly low-calorie, so I only eat it when I can enjoy it in its "ideal state" to get most enjoyment from it. And I find few things as unappetizing as cold toast! Just my perspective.
  • THANKS so much for this thread, everyone! My favorite, for myself, is to try to laugh at my reasons for saying I "can't" (really?!) and then list OUT LOUD the reasons I CAN. This also reminds be to be grateful for basically good health and the blessing of a capable body, which so many people do not have.
  • My strategy: Make the calories you do eat count for a lot more enjoyment. Slow down and appreciate the snack you're having to get the most out of it. e.g. If it's a navel orange: Make sure (if you can) that it's a good one -- buy from a farmer's market or other great source. Then open it slowly, appreciate this amazing…
  • I see a lot of packaged sauces and unnecessary calories in many entries here. How about this simple, delicious, and low-calorie option? 1. Slice thicker sections of chicken breast down to where it's all more uniform thickness, and cook the sliced-off pieces separately.) 2. Coat chicken pieces with onion powder and garlic…
  • "Confident without being arrogant" someone posted ... exactly. Right up to that line, though, because confidence is something you "either got or don't got." A man who is not afraid for anyone to know he believes in ALL his abilities, but not burdening everyone with it. And good old fashioned handsomeness.
  • I am 44 and just joined MFP, but have full faith it will work. SO much encouragement, from the comfort of your own computer / smartphone. To answer your comment about counting calories being a lot of work: I thought so too (back in the years when I tried to do it) ... until MFP made it so much easier. The first week or two…
