I was there in February and it was awesome- The Purple Pig is an absolute must if you like food at all :P Also- Pastorale is a great cheese shop with awesome (and cheap!) sandwiches and hit up any of the many Intelligentsia coffee shops (broadway, logan square, monadnock building, merchandise mart 1870, etc). Have a great…

I injured my left knee a couple years ago and squats are ROUGH... I can do them only with a small amount of weight but deadlifts are no problem. Maybe give them a try? There are a ton of variations on the deadlift as well: standard or romanian deadlifts with barbells or dumbbells, etc....

Try drinking it iced with a bit of lemon, no sugar. I like cold green tea much better than I do warm (it tastes less "grassy" to me). Or perhaps find a jasmine green tea- I love it!

Congrats! And agreeeeeed- run away for just a couple minutes after the ceremony..... my husband and I practically ran out as soon as the ceremony was done, just looked at each other and burst out laughing. One of the best parts of my day! OH- and no matter how nervous/busy you are- eat something. Its easy to forget!

Try chopping vegetables small and putting them in tomato sauces for example, or even blend them in if you don't want to know they're there. What about cooking veggies into one pot meals so they take on the flavours of what they're cooked with- like a curry or a beef stew?

I would try and log each item in the meal separately- ie) egg bun, turkey, cranberry sauce all one by one. You can probably get close that way.

I have a long term knee issue as well- I know how you feel! When my knee was at its worst, making sure to rest, elevate, and ice it when necessary was a huge help in keeping the swelling under control. For my particular situation, the rehabilitation solution was to strengthen the individual muscles around the knee to…

Have lost 107lbs... At 5'1 have gone from size 22/24 --> 6/8 on my own, no surgeries here! I still go out to eat and take days off from the gym but have learned to embrace this lifestyle and LOVE exercise and physical activity in any shape or form... Feel free to add me- have a great day!

I am vegetarian as well- feel free to add me if you like! (I do a 40-30-30 carb/protein/fat ratio and it's working super well for me right now),

Whey protein is great in smoothies, with water/milk/almond or soy milk- just look around and find one you like! I'm vegetarian as well and I use Promasil- very good and works well in protein pancakes/muffins, etc. For other veggie protein sources, try combinations of lentils/rice/beans (combining them to make a complete…

I had some misdiagnosed VERY severe gallstone/gallbladder attacks a few years ago- thank goodness you know what's going on :) It happened to me after I lost my first 60lbs or so, I was only 20 so the doctors were VERY surprised. I wound up in the ER, hospital for a week and they took it out- SO MUCH BETTER I cannot…
