How has your body changed since the day you got married? Are you the same? Fatter/thinner? Fitter/lazier? Flabbier/tighter? Etc.
Oh and how long ago were you married?
What about your spouse? Have they changed in a similar way?

I am 20lbs smaller now than the day I got married I am def more fit and workout more now than I did then. I also eat a lot cleaner than I did then.
We will be married for 9 years in July.
My husband is pretty much the same as the day we got married maybe a 5lb gain that I don't notice but he claims he is getting fat (insert roller eyes)0 -
Us on our wedding day (5 years ago this past December):
Us on our fifth wedding anniversary:
I weigh 35 pounds less than I did on my wedding day - maybe more -- and Matt is probably about the same. I am the strongest and fittest I've ever been in my life, and once again, Matt would say the same. Even boot camp didn't do for Matt what running, lifting & eating healthy foods have done for him! I'm SO happy that we are just getting better and better!

I fit into my wedding gown from 20 years ago...size 6 but now I have breasts so the top won't button up in the back lol. After 3 kids it finally happened for me. BOOBIES!!!  :laugh:0

When I got married I'd lost some weight about 6 months earlier, not FOR the wedding, but because I was becoming less able to cycle over hills and my (Japanese) pupils were mocking me behind my big, fat, western butt. I went from 65kg to 55kg.
Now I'm 63kg. Christmas I was about 57kg. I am gaining pregnancy weight rather too rapidly :blushing: I was 65kg last time I got pregnant though, so I'm already ahead of myself there :bigsmile:0 -
Except for the fact that I am no pregnant, I have pretty much weighed the same throughout my marriage aside of weight gain/loss during prior pregnancies. My weight is within 5 lbs of marriage weight.
My husband hasn't gained or lost anything either.
I would say my fitness is about the same. I have been a "worker outer" for 15+ yrs and that hasnt changed at all!!!
edit: And I was married going on 9 years this october!0 -
Just had our 15 year anniversary this past week and I'm definitely in much better shape than I was then. I was thin then, but a skinny fat in contrast to now where I'm more fit and have a lot more muscle. The years in between not necessarily the case. I've been up and down many times in those 15 years, never again. My husband is about the same, maybe a tad bit more, but he has been working to build muscle. We are both in better shape now.0

haha. Men..I swear. I wish I were one some days.0 -
I weigh 3 lbs. less today than I did on my wedding day almost 16 years ago. I'm in much better shape now though. My husband probably weighs 30 lbs. more now.0

32 pounds maybe a bit less, definitely more toned now as well, and we got married coming up 8 months.0

I probably weighed 100 pounds on my wedding day. Hubby was probably 165.
Today I'm in far batter shape, but I've added 20 pounds. It isn't a bad thing, just an age/body difference, I am very comfortable in my body. Yes, that 100 pounds sounds appealing to me, but I would much rather be fit. I could starve myself and stop exercising to reach 100 again, but why??? I would much rather be fit and muscular than thin and weak.
Hubby might have gained 5 pounds, but it is all muscle. He has always been in fantastic shape.0 -
I've been married almost 21 years. I weigh about 30 lbs more than I did when we got married and he weighs about 40 pounds more than he did when we got married. I am in better physical shape, for one I don't smoke anymore, so I can run now when I couldn't before. I also have a much less active job now than I did back then. I used to wait tables, now I have a desk job. Plus I'm older. LOL.
I wore a size 10 wedding dress. I wear a size 12 now, though it's likely a vanity sized 12.0 -
Our wedding anniversary is on Tuesday. Since we got married three years ago I have lost 65 pounds and gotten myself in much healthier place. My husband has put on about 25 pounds and we are now sitting at about the same weight. I look at my wedding pictures and shake my head...but, its motivation!0

Married 8 years, 3 kids.
Husband is more bald, but in the same shape. He's worn the same size jeans since highschool.
I weigh about 7lbs more but am at lease one size smaller. My arms, shoulders, back look better.0 -

This is such a great idea for a thread! Your wedding day should be a happy ocassion, hopefully the beginning of a new life that will improve upon the old life. No matter your size, enjoy it!! The pictures are beautiful, no matter your size. All brides are beautiful.
It's just one day in a life.0 -
Well, I was 3 months pregnant at my wedding so my body has changed greatly! lol For starters, there is no longer a baby in me0

Actually I'm EXACTLY the same. I may have had a little more mass in my legs then, and more in my upper back now, but weight/bodyfat is almost the same. I've gained and relost 70 lbs since then though.0

DH and I were married 10 years ago. I'm probably the same weight but in much better shape thanks to longer and better cardio workouts. I actually gained about 15 lbs in the interim due to his wonderful home cooking, but lost it over the last 2 years.
DH has lost weight but that's due mostly to medication for a chronic disease which suppresses his appetite a little.0 -
My goal is my wedding weight of 140# ..... that was 25 years ago ...... hubby weighed 275#
then I gained steadily for 20 years, topped out at 195# ....... hubby mostly stayed the same .......
Then we both started losing weight ..... I'm now 150# ...... hubby's down to 235#
And the adventure continues :drinker:0 -
40lbs lighter since my wedding a year and a half ago... Love it0
