Not 5'6".... I'm 5'3.75", but my goal weight is going to end up at around 150# (actual goal is bodyfat %, so weight is approximate). It really depends on frame size and lean mass to fat ratio.

Beans & Rice... add your choice of extra protein (clearance is good here). Change up added veggies (spinach, tomatoes, garlic, carrots, etc) & spices every time for a different flavor.

Whichever sweetener you prefer is the right one. I use Splenda, regular sugar, or honey depending on the dish/drink.

Lost 20 lbs before I noticed. Lost 30 lbs before anyone else noticed. Gained 10 over the winter. Lost 10 lbs EVERYbody notices (difference was strength training).

Maybe do some of both. Do your big compound lifts first. Finish with dumbbells for equalizing. edit to add: I'm actually the opposite. I'm right handed but my right arm is still weaker. I think it comes from hauling the munchkin around on my left so I can do stuff with my right. I'm working on it.

My usual variation is 2-3 lbs from morning to evening and from day to day. My biggest variance was 20 lbs of water retention in one day.
