I think most people just take a screenshot of the recipe in their diaries and post it as an image.. But I may be wrong as I've never done it myself x

In theory yes. But you need to factor in rest days to let your muscles recover etc. Too much cardio without adequate recovery could have adverse affects. What will you do on days when you can't exercise? Eat less? Or what happens as you lose weight and get fitter - you will burn calories at a slower rate then, so will you…

Expensive but DEFINITELY worth it - I've had benefit blushers that have lasted me well over a year, and that's with everyday use! They're tinted moisturiser is brill too, again lasts an absolute age... Don't rate the mascara though!

I quite like the Weight Watchers meals - particularly the lemon risotto one... But in my opinion, they are low in calories because the portions are small! There's not a real secret to them - so I reckon if you made your own you'd probably be able to make them better/lower calorie/lower sodium... Decent idea for…

9stone 8lbs is 134lb, you're right... 9.8 stone is 137lb... so it's working out what 0.8 of a stone is (11lbs), not 8lbs... Basically the calculator you're using is wrong! :)

I'd take inches over pounds any day! So congrats :) I lost 3, but that's mainly due to TOM last week I think... But fingers crossed I can keep it up for next week too!! :D Congrats to everyone on team 7, doesn't look like we've had any members put weight on, so we're doing amazingly :) x

Sorry, but I agree with the original quote - Travel from Surrey to Newcastle and compare the accents!! There isn't an 'English' accent - unless of course you're referring to the horrid Hugh Grant version that American actors/actresses seem to adopt when playing an English character! (Anne Hathaway's 'Yorkshire' accent in…

I'm slightly confused by results: At my highest weight, my Lean Body Mass was 117.7lb... With my current measurements my Lean Body Mass is 120.1lb... So this means I've lost 18lb but gained 2.4lb of lean body muscle? Is this right? Everyone else's results seem to be the other way round? I.e less lean body mass the less…

Calories burnt on machines like ellipticals are calculated by measuring your heart rate, and comparing it to your resting heart rate. As you get fitter, your heart will not need to beat as quickly to cope with the exercise... So unfortunately, you won't burn as many calories...! Works the same as you lose weight - the less…

Hiya team 7... Nice to hear your stories, good luck to all of you with your weight loss, both in the group challenge and outside of that :) I'm Rachel, I'm 23, from the Midlands in the UK... I started losing weight in March, just for myself really.. I lost 1lb under 2 stone between then and the end of May.. Did really…

Yay :) Good luck everyone (well, only anyone in team 7 really :P) xx

I've got 11 (at least!) to lose, so yea, count me in too please! :D

I wasn't talking about spot toning either, just mentioned biceps as that was the example given in the OP.

Be interesting to hear answers from professionals/well researched individuals... I have made quite good friends with a professional bodybuilder recently - and he's said basically the same things to me as you believe with regards to muscle gain on a calorie deficit etc etc etc... I sincerely doubt the 3lb gain is muscle, in…

This... You can offer advice, you can't make someone take it! Just carry on with your own weight loss and leave her to hers.. We all have different opinions on what is the right way to lose weight... She'll figure it out for herself in the end...! Deep breaths ;) xx

Target for September 2nd: 150 Start weight: 155 August 5th: 154 August 12th: 155 August 19th: 154 August 26th: September 2nd: GAH! I hate yo-yo'ing! It's my own fault though, I do well with my exercise then ruin it bingeing on rubbish. Going to try and have a good weekend and get seriously on it - I wanted to be under…

MFP will set your calories to a minimum of 1200... So unfortunately this means that people who don't have a lot to lose, with a BMR of 1400, would only have a calorie deficit of 200kcals a day = 1400 a week = under 1/2lb estimated loss a week. As MFP takes the deficit from your BMR, you 'should' eat your exercise calories…

Target for September 2nd: 150 Current weight: 155 August 5th: 154 August 12th: 155 :( August 19th: August 26th: September 2nd: I've had to re-adjust my target; there's no way I'm going to lose 9lb in 3 weeks. Finding it really frustrating at the moment - it seems every half a stone I lose, I yo-yo a couple of pounds for a…

Just found this article... http://healthyeatingclub.com/info/articles/diets-foods/eggs.htm But I've also read articles saying around 4-5 a week is recommended. I guess it depends on the other aspects of your diet - yes they are high in fat, but coupled with fresh fruit, veg, and, as you've said, exercise and no red meat…

When I first started dieting I had the WORST headaches, every day, for 2-3 weeks. I used to sit at my desk and not be able to concentrate on the screen, it was horrible. I think it's just while your body detoxes, and gets used to your new diet. I'd suggest lots of water, and it will get better eventually. Unless, of…

Without sounding all soppy etc etc, you're doing an amazing job leading the challenge Leila :) I'm going to the Trafford Centre (in Manchester) shopping on Saturday, so no proper exercise!! BOOOO!! Can I put down all my leisurely walking though?! I might wear my pedometer and see how many cals I actually burn!! I'll be…
