First I purchased the small 7oz. cans of coke and drank 1 a day(for the first 2 weeks). I also kept Excedrine Migraine on hand the first 2 weeks when I kicked the soda habit in Jan. 2012. If I felt a headache comin on I took one. Got me through that first 2 weeks. Now I may have one glass of soda every 10 days or so. I…

I was talking with a fitness instructor/nutritionist here where I work yesterday. I told her I seem to be in a bit of a plateau right now. I think the scale is actually going to move the wrong way this Friday :( ...anywat her only piece of advice was to increase my water. I told her I do get 8-9 glasses a day....she said…

Yep..in 2008 I went from 194 to 159. Fell off the wagon and went up to 200. Started Jan. 1 at 200 now down to 158.75, and I have that feeling of "is it going to happen again". It kind of scares me. I want to lose 15 more, so I just have to STAY focused.

I've had hypothyroidism for 7 years now...and I lost 35 lbs in 2008....gained it bk. but I have lost 41 since Jan.1 2012. Take your meds...or it will be nearly impopssible to lose the weight. So I don't see why anyone with thyroid issues can't lose weight...as long as their levels are being watched and they are taking…

Soda.....only drink water, skim milk and the occasional juice. Rarely do I have a diet soda...use to only drink regular soda.

Raisin Nut Bran, Cheerios, Lucky Charms, Froot Loops, Golden Grahams, Cocoa Puffs, Trix....I could possibly live off of cereal. I would really like to eat it all the time...but the sugar content in some of my faves stop me from doing that.

WOW!!! You look amazing! You have completely reinvented yourself. Good for you :glasses:

I hear ya! I'm 38 down have about 15-20 to go. It is a tough thing to do, but worth every daily struggle. It's easier in the beginning. It's prob gonna take me the same amt of time to lose these last 15 that it did to lose the first 38. But I WILL keep fighting the good fight. I will embrace every .5 lb. lost and every .5…

I work for an orthopaedic surgeon. You may still be able to walk on a foot/ankle if it's fractured. It could be a non displaced fracture or a sprain. Knee could be sprain as well. First off...I'm not a doctor. I would take it easy, elevate (above your heart level) ice it tonight. If it swells, bruises, or hurts tomorrow…

Have to try this.

Sounds like some great idaes. I use mashed avocado instead of mayo. Avocado has fat, but it's the heart healthy fat.

My first "unofficial" 5K I wanted to finish in under 45 mins. I did this in Sept. 2011. I call it unofficial because I had not really trained for it. It was a local charity event and not a competitive thing at all. I walked half of it. I finished it in 44:45. So goal met. My first "official" 5K was about 4 weeks ago. I had…

I wear 2 bras when running. First I put on a basic thin bra. Kinda like playtex or something else from walmart. Just to keep em somewhat seperated. Then I use a very firm basic sports bra over it (lots of Lyrica in it...also got from walmart)...I get one a size to small. It squishes everything in and keeps em from…

Overall average is 2 lbs per week. I started Jan. 1st. But it has slowed up the last 6 weeks or so, which I totally expected. Right now losing abt. 1 per week.
