Try eating a banana every day and see if that helps with the cramps.

You can do it! You have the right idea, get rid of as many processed foods s you possibly can. Shop in the produce and frozen sections to purchase whole foods. Natural sugar found in fruits/vegetables is what our bodies are meant to handle. I also do not advocate artifical sweetners!

Hilarious! I must say I hate it when people SPRAY Lysol (or whatever) SO much, they think it is going to take their smell away. Instead I walk around smelling like Lysol the rest of the day. YUK, no thank you!

I tried a Mexican Lentil soup from our natural health food store the other day. It was good, but even better when I added a couple tablespoons of spicy hummus! I am going to experiment and make my own; divide into portions and freeze. I freeze in plastic but do not eat from microwaved plastic.

Love it. I prefer the Tri-color. 1/2 cup warmed up with a few walnuts and 2 T. dark choc morsels. It's great for breakfast or when I need a filling snack. Lots of protein!

Got one of those here too... this guy wines more than any woman I have ever worked with! Everyone has to hear everything that is going on in his life, ugh! We are not interested! When he is not talking, he is eating. I put on my headphones, then he is like, "am I bothering you?" Duh.

True/Funny (well, at least we are ranting and getting it off our chests).

Same here, we have people in my office who scrape the bowl like they are freaking starving. It wouldnt be so bad, but it is not lunch time! We are trying to work here, concentrate, ya know?! I have to listen to you crunch at lunch, so stop scraping your bowl! Ah... now I feel better, I think. Yes, I am on my break. Oh and…

I'm not a doctor, but my husband had that and they told him to cut down on red meats and soda pop (he drank a lot of dr. pepper). Some doctors won't tell you what to do diet-wise, they would rather write you a prescription. Keep you coming back, ya know?!

If baking, bananas are a natural sweetner and dates ...very sweet.

soldiergrl_101, I can't say I know the difference between the two. But I eliminated packaged foods, added lots of fruits/veggies, drank protein shakes (made w/almond milk) and lots of water. Added Quinoa for extra protein. I did this 3 months, lost 35 lbs. and my health was much better. I am no longer taking prescriptions…

I was a widow at age 43. So when I was dating again, I decided my range should be 7 either way. My husband is 4 yrs older. (My first husband was 5 yrs older). I think it works out well in means of our children, grandchildren, retirement ages, etc.

try Quinoa. I use it cold in salads. Or eat it warm with a few walnuts and dark chocolate morsels. It can be a breakfast food or snack. You buy it by the pound at health food stores. my favorite is the tri-color as it seems to be less mushy. If you buy the natural color, substitute it for rice, in any recipe. It is…

Same here, only I don't cringe, I want to scream it just gets on my last nerve. What happen to good manners?

Eating unprocessed foods did make me feel better (I did it for 6 months last year) and lost 35 lbs. Then I caved with the holidays and unsupporting family/friends. But now my arthritis is back and I have gained back some of the weight. So... I am here to support those who want to make the switch. It does take effort/time…

Now: I want to be healthy! Do not want a gut. Now and Later: I do not want to rely on Prescriptions!

I wish my office was more in favor of healthy food. I would not suggest low-fat because that is just more sugar. Sugar-free doesnt work for some people because of the sugar alcohol causing digestive issues. Go with natural foods: fruits, veggies, hummus is great. if you want to bake, try clean eating sites to find recipes.…

My suggestion would be to have fruit for the rest of the day. And maybe eat really clean tomorrow!

I am 5'7" and my goal is 150! I am 53 years old. (THANK YOU for your success story - you are a great inspiration for any one, any age.) When I was 26 I weighed around 130 and was thin but not very healthy. With the stress of everyday life/work, around age 35, I started gaining a lot of weight...and by the time I turned 40…

I havent felt sick yet, but did try some of the "old" foods that I used to eat, this weekend. I tried dairy milk in a dessert and my stomach definitely told me about it! And I ate some spaghetti and just felt bloated! I am happy to go back to my clean eating today! Sneaking in something processed once in a while won't hurt…

Processed foods are canned, boxed and bagged. The diet plan I am doing is called the Anti-Inflammatory Diet. There is a food pyramid - mostly veggies/fruits, some grains, non-dairy milks, nuts, etc. Check it out. The author is Dr. Andrew Weil. My blood pressure has gone down along with the weight! I am down a size or two…
