  • is there a way to figure out the nutrition facts for a homemade meal? thanks in advance
  • It's just under bicycling i had that same issue for a while lol
  • Almond butter is amazing!!! clif bars yoplait yogurt subway! pretty much all seafood (although salmon is more fatty than some) dried fruit (all the fiber without the worry of it getting bruised and icky) jello turkey (especially honey-cured or honey-roasted or honey-whatever)
  • I live in Colorado, so it's sunny 330 days a year--I can't help but go walk outside every time it gets above sixty! I'll put in my headphones and walk for hours at a time and occasionally watch the sun set--the calories add up so fast if you keep a good pace. (I walk to the beat of my music, and that really helps.)…
  • The movement that you do in that "captain's chair" thing is about it. Since I work out at home, what I do is lie on the floor on my back and do leg lifts, knees unbent. Another thing I found just recently that really seems to work is also similar--you sit on the edge of a couch or bed and put your handsnext to your hips to…
  • I believe about 4-6 oz of water per half hour of exercise is about right. If it's really hot or really humid you'll want to increase that though, but not above eight ounces per hour. It's best if you drink at least 16 oz in the two hours before exercise too  Drink after exercising too, that's also important …
  • I actually live in Colorado, but my dad lives in WI, and he's told me how brutal the weather is!! :noway: It's insane...CO sucks too but not nearly as much as those poor northern states lol my sympathies, i hope it gets better! what part of WI do you live in?
  • One thing i've found that helps me is just being accountable--if you tell someone close that you're not going to have soda, then it becomes that much easier to just not do it. I have lunch with my boyfriend most wekdays and i would almost always get a bottle of mtn dew. but one day i told him that i was going to stop…
  • If only i could convince my mother that buffets are the work of the devil  lol
  • I felt so horrible that i completely ruined my diet yesterday (at a buffet, of course) that i ate SUPER-DUPER healthy today--turkey sandwich for lunch and fish for dinner, lots of protein--and even though i caved and ate ice cream for dessert, I watched my portion sizes and still made my goal for the day!! Very pleased…
  • Thanks for all the welcoming! :flowerforyou: I love this site already :blushing:
  • I've found that it's not even so much that when I log my food I realise how much i eat so i eat less and eat healthier (although that's part of it) but a lot of times i find myself thinking, "I don't want to have to bother typing that food in my log...so i won't bother eating it" sheer laziness somehow comes in handy lol
  • Most of mine are admittedly pretty dorktastic, such as Perfect (Exceeder) by Mason Vs Princess Superstar (say that five times fast lol) or Let Me Think About It by Ida Corr. Both are very "poppy", like the kinda stuff you'd hear at a runway show, you know the type. I also like "Hey Mickey" by B*witched (yeah that song from…
  • Hey everyone, my name's Rebecca, I'm new to this site  I've tried using some other different "weight-loss"-type sites, but either they were far too simplistic (as in only counted calories) or WAY to complicated (as in had to type in every little nutritional value thing from scratch)--this site strikes a perfect…
