You still have to count calories on keto.

My heartburn and digestive issues resolved within 2-3 weeks of eating a ketogenic diet. I don’t eat any chocolate though. How much artificial sweetener are you consuming? They are known to cause a whole host of problems including digestive issues. As soon as I cut them out completely I felt so much better! Nuts are also a…

Another positive for today: We are getting a puppy today! He is a 10 week old Great Pyrenees. He’s going to need a lot of exercise and walks, so in addition to being squishy and adorable, I will have no choice in taking walks on my day off! Win win ❤️

Positives today: My son is officially out of the Marine Corps and is home! Coincidentally both of my parents (they’re not together) had knee surgery on Monday and both are doing well. My older daughter is graduating nursing school in 2 weeks as valedictorian of her class The scale finally started to move in the right…

I’m having the same problem. Seems like every time I see a new low on the scale, it takes another 2 weeks to see another one. Last Sunday (11/24) was the last time I saw a loss. This morning was the closest I’ve come to that number (.2 over) in 10 days. It’s so frustrating.

Oh I forgot to add the numbers lol. SW 240 9/16/19 CW 215 GW 135

Hey everyone, it’s been about a month since I posted in here, and a frustrating month it’s been. I spent 2 1/2 weeks gaining and losing the same 3-4lbs until they finally stayed off and all of a sudden this week I dropped another 3. So only 7lbs lost this month, but it’s better than a 7lb gain I suppose.

What happens when the challenge is done? Are there guidelines for what to eat long-term?[/quote] You can continue to eat “squeaky clean” or you can go back to regular keto. She has 4 weeks of meal plans for the challenge, but you don’t have to use them. I’m not, I’m just eating meat, veggies, eggs, and healthy fats. She…

I did the soup diet last week. And lost 9.3lbs! I went right into the Squeaky Clean challenge. I am really feeling good without dairy. I really believe it was causing a lot of problems like inflammation in my body. I never really eat nuts, so I don’t miss them. I did miss sweetener at first, but after a couple days I lost…

Hi everyone 😁 I’ve been lurking for a while now, haven’t posted anything yet. But I figured this was as good a place as any to jump in. My numbers as if today: Start date: September 16 Start weight: 240 Current weight: 222.0 this morning Goal Weight: will evaluate when I get to 135 (highest weight in healthy BMI range) I…

@Emmapatterson1729 I decided to try them again. I got the miracle noodle angel hair. In the green package pictured above. Wow! They have changed a lot from when I first tried them years ago! These were so good! I had them with shrimp scampi...well my lazy shrimp scampi of butter, green onions and fresh garlic. It was SO…

You should eat at maintenance while you recover. I had 2 spine surgeries back to back in July, and I was told not to restrict calories for 8 weeks while I was healing.

Mission carb cutter tortillas are only 3 net carbs if you can find them.

I work nights too but my schedule is a bit different, 4p-4a. I don’t eat after 8p, so I just keep my regular logging same as my off days. Do you keep a night schedule on your off days? Do you sleep all day till it’s time to go to work on your work days? Maybe just log regular, but call your 1st meal breakfast no matter…

Eat what you’re eating now, in smaller portions, so it fits into your calorie allotment. All the exercise in the world won’t help you if you’re in a calorie surplus.

57lbs in 6 weeks? I hope you’re under a Dr’s supervision. Good for you and congrats on the amazing accomplishment!

I’m going to a wedding tonight. It will be my 1st time going out and drinking alcohol since starting weight loss. I plan to order vodka/club soda and flavor it with a zero calorie water enhancer that I’ll bring in my purse.

Omg y’all are scaring me. I had to shave part of my head for my surgery in July (like an undercut lol). What’s left is very thin, losing even a little would be super noticeable. I am praying this doesn’t happen to me...and increasing protein ASAP!
-
I tried Palmini noodles yesterday. They’re my favorite pasta substitute so far. I haven’t had Shirataki noodles in years. I didn’t like them because of the smell, but it sounds like they’ve made them better...I’ll have to try them again!

MFP has already calculated your deficit and the calories you were given...2110 includes that. You need to eat all of them.

Mine is all over the place when I’m working. I work 3 days a week night shift, which is 4p-4a at my clinic. On those days I eat dinner around 10-11pm. On my off days I eat with my family at 6-7pm. But right now I’m on medical leave so it’s 6-7pm every day for the next few weeks.

It means that as of right now, as of the meals you have logged so far today, 84% of the calories you have logged have come from carbohydrates. As you go through the day and finish logging, it will even out unless you continue to eat mostly carbohydrates (which is fine if that’s what you want to eat).

Avocado and olives. Very rarely tomato.
-
IF will not bring about weight loss unless you are in a calorie deficit.
-
Right now, I don’t (can’t) exercise. I’m still losing weight eating the calorie amount given to me when I put my info into MFP. That’s because MFP already calculated my deficit for me.

A tablespoon of heavy cream, a tablespoon of coconut oil, and a tablespoon of monkfruit sweetener.

It works for me. This is the only WOE that I have tried where I don’t feel hungry and deprived. I understand that it’s not for everyone. I understand that some people will tell me that simply counting calories leaves them full and satisfied; it’s simply not true for ME. Everyone needs to find what works for them, and Keto…

A very good friend of mine has Hashimoto’s and she swears by the Autoimmune Protocol (AIP) diet. She started it with hopes to manage her illness, and ended up losing 40lbs in the process. She continues to follow the diet, just increased amounts of foods so as not to lose anymore weight, and will for life because of the…
