You should come to Austin and run from zombies with me in December =D

I started inside but MUCH prefer running outside now. I started c25k a year ago and am now using it for sprint intervals to work on my speed. Have fun!!

I wouldn't. My biggest "cheat" day might be 3000. I think 5000 is a bit ridiculous.

LOVE this stuff! You should visit San Antonio during FIESTA =D

This! And at least you are there working on it - tell those voices in your head to stfu! ;)

Terrific answer!

I buy plain and add what I want to it -

Mine are looking better with lifting weights and I am working on lifting heavier weights to help even more. I anticipate having brachioplasty in a year or so to remove what is left but have noticed the skin tightens up over time with the loss. Good luck and congratulations!

I'm right there with ya! 191 pounds and a size 10. Had a dexa scan this week to get a better idea about body fat with all this loose skin and my BMI will still be overweight, even taking into account the extra skin, when by body fat is at 24%. Those numbers don't apply well to those of us whose lean body mass is higher.…

Simply amazing, that is what I think of you. I truly enjoy your friendship and your eloquently described workouts are always inspiring :). I cannot wait to see what this next year has in store for you!

Fantastic =D

Normal to take 2-5 days after a heavy workout :)

I fail at deadlines with weight loss - never, ever, never achieve them. I have really avoided them this time around and it works for me. I will get there, when I get there :)

I count and weigh almost everything EXCEPT my salad vegetables. I even weigh the salad dressing, if I use it but I never worry about the lettuce, tomatoes, cucumbers, bell peppers ( mostly what are in my regular salads). I don't count my one piece of sugar free gum I chew when I run either. ;)

I have no goal weight - I would never have believed I could weigh as much as a I do now and look good in clothes! My first/next goal is 18% body fat - and wouldn't care if that weighs 300 pounds

I started at 350 and started exercising when my weight was about 280, really because I was trying not to overwhelm myself with so many changes all at once. I gradually increased what I was doing and am now running 3+ miles >3 days /week along with lifting :). Great job by the way so far!

I barely break a 12 min mile but I am certainly more of a runner than I was a year ago and I LOVE it!!!

I put a tbsp on a la tortilla whole wheat wrap (50 cal), roll it up and savor it!!!

Being a stress eater has been the BIGGEST AND HARDEST thing to overcome with this process. I am now a stress exerciser lol :) - as long as I can get the endorphins up, I handle the stress much better. I love your comparisons because it is truly the same and as destructive for those of us who have found solace in food. Here…

I am almost 18 years older than you, with PCOS for most of my adult life, and have not had any problems with progress. 157 pounds in 18 months. I don't do any weird stuff, no fads for me as I have done those all before and gained it back. I also eat around 1900 calories a day now, still losing about a pound a week now, and…

ME too!! I went to Soma and the lady measuring me came up with the same size bra I was wearing which were way too big! She measured me over my clothes and was argumentative with me actually - saying "well lets try 38 DD first" - I measured myself with my husband's help before and it was 34 F/G depending on brand. I went to…

I had a patient describe her previous nurse practitioner to me and insist she had never seen me before (it had been over a year and 130 pounds to be fair) until I showed her my driver's license! It was really nice to get the opportunity to share with her in a non-judgmental way because she was about 350 pounds or my…

AGREED ^^. As a side note to that, you can reduce your need to wash (saving water, etc) by using the scale to measure salad dressing on a salad, for example, by taring or zeroing the scale with food on it and monitoring additional weight contributed by food you are wishing to measure. I have used a food scale for over a…

Thank you for sharing your story and a very appropriate time for me, personally :)

I have a pricey polar ft80 which I love but I bought a sportsline with chest strap at walmart for about $40 and it will do what you want and works well also.

You look terrific =D Good for you!

Yep the beautiful smile says it all :)
