5'1 1/2" Starting weight: 187 Current weight: 165 Goal weight: 137 (but I'll re-evaluate when I get there) I set small goals of ten pounds and only change them when I get within a few pounds of them. That way I have more successes, and I'm closer to goal at all times.

I'm overweight and don't run, so I think, "Man, there is no excuse for my not starting to jog." Of course, I don't sit in cars at parks and stare at the people using the park . . . I'm impressed by joggers--whatever their size.

I don't like drinking water, so I turn it into a game. I take a bottle with me in the car (just 16 or 20 oz) and take 5 chugs at each stop sign or traffic light I see.
