I only drink ale sometimes bailey and wine. I don't go for the super weak ales (or largers) either. I don't tend to eat anything afterwards (unless I haven't had dinner), that and I fall a sleep as soon as I get home ;) I went to an Octoberfest on 7th October and I'm going to an ale festival this Saturday. You don't have…

Im not really using the smart watch features so can't talk about those features. It's much better than my garmin though

I don't look at the adjustment as exercise calories even though mfp call them that. I use it as data to find the ideal calorie goal over time. By basic calorie goal is 1320 (sedentary + 1lb a week loss). Current states at 18:35 UK time: Calories = 2249 Steps = 15753 Miles = 6.15 MFP adjustment = 838

15476 steps so far today and fitbit has given me 807 calories
-
Received my Ionic today and I'm loving it so far!
-
Waiting for mine too.

the only apples I like are granny smiths

did you actually set the 3 hour walk up as an actual activity? I ask as I wonder if 1500 is from midnight to that point in time.
-
Garmin stopped this week too :( Theres quiet a few errors around mfp at present

Genetics. My niece is stick thin but has diabetes, no one on our side of the family has it. Her nan does and is very over weight. Neither give a crap about what they eat. At work (nhs) we don't stop anyone having carbs just sugar.
-
That's got to be well under 1000 calories
-
tortilla wraps, ham/chicken/turkey slices. I tend to pick at them though out the day.
-
The people I work with who log their food with MFP don't use the forums at all. They are still believing you need to cut out everything and eat as few calories as they can.

No dressing and no cheese so sad :( I get a footlong each time with two dressings+cheese ;) but no drink or crisps. Admittedly it's a rare thing. There was a back lash here in the UK a little while ago due to halal meat in some take outs. We like to suck up to the soon to be masses and hate on the current masses. Do don't…

We get a UK version of root beer but it's nothing like the real thing.

UK pints are close to 150-200 :( I don't do 'light' beer. A 4.2% 500ml ale is 204, a 5% 568ml (pint) is 295. Doesn't stop me though ;)
-
I'm also thinking about it, don't like the price though ;( I've had many different fitbits but moved over to garmin when I got sick of the rubbish strap on the surge, that and the blaze didn't have inbuilt GPS. Now the Iconic is about to be released and finally it has inbuilt GPS (basically a blaze upgrade). I much prefer…

I'm 5'1 - 2 and can burn up to 3000 calories on work days but sat on sofa days 1650-1800
-
See I'm terrified of getting loose skin!
-
I work 12.5hr shifts. I walk to and from work, I manage to burn up to 3000 on a work day. I don't always eat the best or go to the gym on my off days, I just think of a shift as exercise ;) I actually burn less on off days even with the gym.
-
Not so true in the UK. You need a degree in nutrition and/or dietetics for most careers according to the British Nutrition Foundation.

I don't think anyone at work knows about CICO even though they use this site. They all cut out anything 'bad' and basically eat very little, or at least think they do (their eating 'healthy' remember!). So many fail at the very start or just put it back on once they re-introduce foods.
-
Depending on my work schedule I go 3-4 mornings a week. Lifting, little cardio
-
After 4 weeks: Squat 45kg (99 lb) Bench press 32.5kg (71.5 lb) Overhead press 20kg (44 lb) Deadlift 55kg (121 lb) Row 30kg (66 lb)
-
And a pint isn't the same size in every country
-
Everyone I know that tried a restricted diet cutting out the 'bad' stuff put weight on after they reintroduced those foods even a little bit. One person lost loads in a short time then binged. Too many people think diets work because they lose the weigh for their goal, put weight on, and know they can lose it again when…

I'm 5.1-5.2 and in the 180s at sedentary I'm given 1390 calories to lose 0.5lb a week. I eat more due to exercise and work (1800-2000 net). I lose anything from 0-2 lb per week. Either a medical condition or u are using measuring cups not a scale
-
I'm 5ft 2 (ish) and for sedentary I'm given 1390. Thankfully my job means I burn up to 3000 a day so can eat more.

Taking saturday into account I had a negative day in that I was 300 under my net goal or had a 618 deficit. To be true negative like the OP is staying or people think they are saying I'd need to burn 3772 +. Some people think that if they have eaten say 1300 and burnt 1300 at the gym anything else is negative.
