Hello and welcome to MFP! Motivation is a HUGE key to success in getting healthy. Anyone in this thread who needs a little kick in the can, please feel free to add me. My MFPals have helped me get to where I am today and I love returning the favor :)

I was born in '70 but always felt I should have grown up in the 60's and 70's. Everything about that time appeals to me in one way or another.

Welcome! You or anyone in this thread can feel free to add me. I log every day and give as much help as I can. My MFPals have helped me get to where I am today and I am always looking to give back.

Lots of cocaine! But seriously, there are many days I just don't have the motivation to get off my butt, but all it takes is a look in the mirror for me and I get what I need. Knowing where I came from and seeing where I am now makes me happy and seeing the difference in my body and how I feel makes me want to get moving.

That's fantastic! It's tough to get started since we've been used to a certain lifestyle for so long, but hang in there. It sounds like you have the perfect mindset to get done what you want. Onward and upward!

That's great! :) I just want to ask this just in case (because I did the same thing when I first got my scale). Did you zero the scale out with the cup on it before weighing? The first couple of times I wondered how I could be so far off until I realized I wasn't adjusting for the cup.

Congrats on your progress! You look absolutely gorgeous and healthy!

I can't speak for this site but I know in everyday life, since I have lost my weight and am getting into better shape every day, I find I get a lot more attention from random females, no matter what the surroundings. I'm not saying they toss themselves at my feet and beg for my manhood, but I definitely notice the…

This happened to me a little bit ago and it turned out to be low blood pressure. My circumstances were a little different than yours, though. I was being treated for high blood pressure with medication and I started to get dizzy when I stood up. It lasted about 5 seconds then went away but it would happen every time. Turns…

Hello! You will see a larger weight loss within the first couple of weeks than you will later on. Your body is probably dropping a lot of water weight and getting used to your new lifestyle. It's nothing to be alarmed about. Keep up the great work!

You look absolutely amazing! Way to go :)

That's absolutely fantastic! Putting on your everyday clothes to find they're too big is a GREAT feeling! Congrats and keep it going!

Awesome. Way to go! Really. Getting healthy is impossible without being completely honest and open with yourself and a VERY powerful part of that is to put yourself out there for the world to see. That way, you can't hide behind your fears. You shouldn't be embarrassed to want to get yourself healthy. You should be proud…

I actually use the ipad app of this book and I like it. It's filled with exercises that, after you see them, you wonder why you couldn't think of them yourself. However, they're described very well and the pictures are great. I pick and choose ones that I do on a daily basis (I don't do the "programs"). Most exercises have…

You need to be 100% honest with yourself. If not, you're only hurting your progress. Log it for today. If you go over your calories, then so be it. This stuff only works if you can be truthful to yourself.

You look great, Alex. I'm happy to be your MFPal and to see your daily progress and dedication. I wish I had two extra hands so I can give you four thumbs up!

I had a great NSV smuggled in another NSV this morning. Since I have lost my weight, I knew I would need new clothes for the winter. I have a few Fall / Winter jackets and coats that I tried on this morning and they were all WAY too big (falling off my body). Good thing is, they were too big and bad thing is I need to…

At work yesterday, there were some cupcakes and cake in the lunch room. One of my friends at work was walking by as I was walking by and she said, "I look at you and I just can't eat that cake.", knowing I lost over 100 lbs. It made me feel good that what I have been doing might be rubbing off on people.

42 and my MFPals have encouraged me through 101 lbs of loss since January. I'm always willing to add some motivation!
