I love to cook, and like knowing exactly what I am putting in my food. That being said, I work full time and want to spend my free time doing more than obsessing over food and life is all about balance isn't it? I use a combination.

With the exception of black coffee in the morning, plain green tea, either hot or cold has pretty much replaced all of my beverages. So, as I am not drinking my calories anymore, I guess it has aided my weight loss. But this has turned into a lifestyle thing for me. Its truly what I prefer now.

I know I am going to want something sweet later in the evening. I budget and plan for it. Sugar free jello if nothing else.

The kids were starving in China when I grew up.

You look amazing at 42!

Depends on many things. Age, genetics, how fast the weight came off, how elastic your skin is.

I agree!

As others have noted, the Miracle Noodles are good, in the right setting. They will not replace your pasta. But, they work great in stir frys and such, and they have to be prepped right. I haven't found a Walden Farms product that I like yet. Worst mistake ever, Miracle Noodles with Walden Farms Alfredo Sauce. Zero calorie…

Confederacy of Dunces has been sitting on my bookshelf for quite a while, just haven't gotten to it yet. I read fiction across all the genres. I generally have at least three going at one time. One e-book, one audio book and one hard copy book. I have learned to keep the genres mixed while juggling though, otherwise I mix…

The most delicious latte ever is made breve (half and half) lots of espresso, 4 shots in a tall, and premium chocolate. But, given that is one major reason why I ended up here, I've given them up.

Here in Seattle, Utilikilts are common. Go for it, they are awesome!

do an internet search for hiding vegetables in food for kids. Zucchini brownies, beets in chocolate cake, etc. Lots of great ideas out there.

Golden Fried Millionaire Pie – Sweetened, fluffy cream cheese filling is loaded with golden pineapple and Texas pecans then wrapped in a flaky pie crust and fried to a golden brown. Topped with whipped cream, toasted coconut, and candied pecans. OMG.

I love to plop an egg or two on top of a bed of lightly wilted greens.

So glad that they seem to be figuring this all out. It can be so scary. You two are truly blessed to have each other.

You are the lady to follow. Goodness you look great!

The dry beans are the best idea. We ate a lot of these in our broke days. To make them super simple and yummy, soak over night, the next morning, rinse, add to a crockpot with some onion, garlic (and my secret ingredient Chicken Tomato boullion), cover with water set it on low. come back at the end of the day and you have…

Oh God me too. Grew up in the Twin Cities. when I visit, my sisters know that White Castle is on my list, they graciously take me every time. Thank goodness we don't have them here in Seattle.

Bill Nye locally had a character known as "Speedwalker" a superhero, but I don't think he ever did it nude.

One or two eggs a day, in all forms. One of my favorite but uncommon ways to eat them is poached over sauted kale or spinach. I bring the kale cooked to work, crack an egg over it and microwave for one minute. yummmm

bump for me!

Bump for when I get home, I'll need some kitty laughs.

I like it. Its really simple to use, and being watertight, I forget I have it on and just go about my day. I haven't had any issues with it. The data you get is pretty generic, so I can understand how some might not like it. It suits me just fine.

Individual tuna cups can be a life saver, they don't need refrigeration. Find a market and pick up some fresh fruit, maybe some rice cakes, even a small jar of peanut butter if your plan allows it. When you eat out make some wise choices, you will survive this.

I have one, first activity tracker I've ever had. It is so easy, even my tech challenged hubby can use it. When it will synch with MFP, that will be awesome. For now, I just subtract what MFP says is my daily baseline from the calories the Shine says I burned and manually add it as a created exercise. I wear it in the…
