I've found the most accurate way is to buy a heart rate monitor with a chest strap. Mine has showed me that I actually burn more calories weight lifting than the majority or my cardio sessions but the results will be different for everyone. :smile:

The 3 day a week suits me best with family life, Sunday, Tuesday & Thursday but I have started to do 2 sessions of cardio on a Monday & Friday over the last few weeks to help assist my weight loss. :)

You may be offsetting your cardio weight loss by gaining muscle during weight training rather than slowing your weight loss. Your best guide will be your body measurements and your existing clothes, etc.

I always work out at about 4pm, i don't have time in the morning's before work. I always find i have to go straight from work or else something else crops up. I do like that time though because your body recovers whilst you sleep, which they say is a 3rd of the battle!! (3rd diet, 3rd exercise and a 3rd rest) :)

I've always had my best weight loss through lifting weights (a few years ago now). I lost about 3inches on my waist and my strength almost doubled but my weight stayed the same and i didn't bulk up, just toned up. Just trying to get back into it again now! I get mine from www.affordablesupplements.co.uk and have always had very good service. I like the instant Whey from Reflex but i have found Maximuscle to taste the best, but it is more expensive.
