I'm 5'6, my goal weight is 145. I'm at 147 and some people are commenting that i've lost too much - I don't agree with them - I feel good and the clothes are fitting nicely. I carry a lot of muscle weight - so I guess I may look lighter than I am.

After researching TDEE - if i understand it correctly - it includes exercise expenditure in the total calorie calculation, so you wouldn't log your exercise and eat those calories back so to speak if just aiming to eat the calories at the TDEE level...

It depends on how honest you are with your tracking and it probably depends on a lot of different factors for different people. I always eat back my exercise calories. I am a religious logger of what I eat. I weigh and measure my food. Also, you have to be honest about your activity level when setting up the "net"…

genetics plays a large part as well; unfortunately, mine are not that great. I still have a bit of a pooch and my baby is 12 years old.

spin bike - one without all the bells and whistles is about $199. get yourself some spinning videos and you are good to go - awesome calorie burning and you go at your own capability and work your way up.

The best type of exercise is the one you enjoy doing and will stick with. Start with walking if running sucks. I could only walk and do a light workout on the elliptical when I started, but you progress and get better with each and every workout.

No discouragement allowed here...only encouragement. It is not going to happen overnight and there is no magical formula. You will need to balance calories in with calories out.
