I am 5'5" and have lost 89 lbs so far. SW 248 CW 159 GW 140 I started my journey about 15 months ago. So far I have lost 89 of the 108 lbs that I started out needing to lose. It has been a slow but steady weight loss. I think that is the best way because it stays off when you lose it at a healthy rate. You can do it! It…

Congrats on deciding to take care of yourself and the weight loss so far. I started out with 108 lbs to lose and I have lost 89 so far. It has taken me 15 months, so it has been slow but steady and I am much healthier now. I know that you can do it too. We all have it in us if we really want to do it. Just take it one…

That is awesome! That was one of my first favorite and noticeable changes with my journey as well.

I put a side by side pic of my before and during weight loss on my fridge. If I feel like snacking when I am not really hungry, I see that pic staring back at me to remind me of where I was and where I am now. It helps a lot.

That's awesome! You look great!

I have had an under active thyroid for about 8 years now. I found out because I went into the Dr. thinking I had depression and found out I had an under active thyroid instead. I got on meds for a while and then quit taking them for a few years (big mistake). I got back on the meds about 3 years ago and finally started…

It has taken me 15 months to lose 86 pounds. I still need to lose another 22 to get to my goal of 140 pounds. I am giving myself until the end of September (this year) to finish losing the last 22 pounds. It may not take that long, but I want to keep losing at a healthy rate.

Yes, people are much nicer to me now than when I was at my top weight. In fact I moved to a new town a couple of years ago, so I had to start seeing a new Dr. The first visit was to get back on my thyroid medication and ask advise on losing weight. When I told him that I was on the thyroid meds before but had quit taking…

I started out at 248 and am now down to 162. This after pic I was 165. My goal weight is 140.

Congrats on reaching your first goal! I think that making small goals is the best way to do it. That is how I have been loosing weight, one small goal at a time. My rewards are small until I get to the end of the journey. My small rewards are just things like a new outfit or a new workout DVD. My big reward will be a new…

I started at 248 lbs wearing a pant size of 24. I have lost 83 lbs, now I weigh 165 and I just bought new pants in a size 16, but I fit into different style (brand) that was a size 14.

I don't know how much water you are drinking, but I know from experience that the leg cramping can be from dehydration. My leg cramps got better from soaking in the tub with bath salts, stretching and drinking lots of water.

I finally got serious about loosing weight and getting healthy when the health problems started to add up. Diabetes, High blood pressure, Sleep apnea, Snoring, Aches and pains in my joints and so on. I have now lost 82 lbs and all but the Diabetes has gone away. I am so much healthier and happier now. I still have just…

That is exciting. It is always nice to see and feel the results of hard work.

I have just started using it at home as well. I can't really keep up with the instructors yet and I am not coordinated at all but I do have a lot of fun trying : ) I had to buy a mat to put over the carpet because I can't move my feet fast enough on the carpet (my shoes grab). Give it a try, I am sure you will enjoy it.

Zumba is awesome! After I started using Zumba I started losing inches. I love it.

My secret weapon is Atkins Day Break Snack Bars. I don't eat them as a meal, just as a snack when I really need a sweet treat.

You look GREAT! Keep up the awesomeness and you will get to your goal before you know it!

I only drink coconut milk. I have tried all the others and coconut milk is the only one that I like and fits into my dietary needs.

I have just signed up with MFP this month, but my weight loss really started around Jan of 2011. I had lost about 72 lbs before I signed up with MFP. The pre-MFP weight loss was from watching carbs and sugars, but not calories. I try to stay under 40 carbs per meal (3 meals) and 10 carbs per snack (2 snacks). As for sugar,…

I use to workout first thing in the mornings before work. Now I work out in the evenings (around 8:00p.m.) For me, the evening works best. At first I thought it would keep me awake after the workout, but it actually helps me sleep better. As for losing weight with working out in the morning as apposed to evening, it has…
