  • Hey GenElizabeth. Well done on your achievement. You look fabulous!! I am currently aiming for 1300 cals a day with minimum 120g protein and maximum 100g carbs. I am stuck for meal ideas and have found that to hit my macros I need to eat A LOT of chicken breast, skinless white fish and vegetables. What were your staple…
  • Hi all, Too shy to give my real name so just call me Nene. I am 29 and have had the book for nearly 3 years but I kept on starting and stopping but will defo see it through to the end now. I am actively trying to lose weight so do quite a bit of cardio. I am also training for a 10k race in July and my first half marathon…
  • Hi all, I also have the book but would appreciate if anyone has the excel spreadsheet. Could someone PM me with it? Thanks
  • And that was nearly two months ago honey. I stopped that crap after some good advice from someone who kindly pmed. I tried a vlcd, lost weight and put most of it back on when I stopped but half spent the last 8 weeks eating 1800+ cals and exercisin Its funny cos the reason I even mentioned eating to feed ur body is exactly…
  • I do some form of cardio every day for an hour. Its not too much for me at all as I have a very sedentary job. My philosophy is that there are 24 hours in a day so I must be able to spend at least 1 hour of them doing some cardio.
  • My TDEE is anywhere between 2200 and 3500 depending on whether its a workout day or weekend. Like I said, I eat 1800+ calories a day gross. My ki fit has really opened my eyes to what my real TDEE is. Previously, i thought that my maintenance calories were 1800. Turns out that on average I burn 2500 cals a day. I have made…
  • I have been lifting weights actually. I had a basic routine and did that 3 times a week. When I say start a routine, I mean NROWLW or starting strength. Do you know what a bod pod assessment is? It is one of the most accurate ways to measure body fat. I have had the calipers and dexa scan/bod pod assessment done and the…
  • I go to a physiology centre at a nearby university to get my bod pod assessments done. Its the machine that looks like an egg with a window at the front. lol. Best way to describe it.
  • Well guys, This was probably my third or fourth time re-doing c25k. Usually, I dont finish but do make good progress. Well, this year I started in February, got to Week 6/7 and stopped for two weeks. I returned to c25k and ended up being able to run 5k with doing the remaining weeks. When I first ran 5k, I thought it was a…
  • I actually have new rules of weight lifting for women so I may actually start and finish that.
  • That formula for max heart rate is way off. I know its the standard one but it is very inaccurate. According to that formula, my max heart rate is 190. Well, my heart rate has been 193 before and it was still pumping so there's no way 190 is my max heart rate. People tend to underestimate their max heart rate and lower the…
  • I love this thread. Well, I am Age 30, 5"4 and weigh 172lbs. Goal weight of 133lbs. I started my wieght loss journey in January using the rapid fat loss diet by lyle mcdonald. Averaging about 800 cals per day and net calories of much less than that on exercise days. I did this for 6 weeks and then started regular dieting 2…
  • Fantastic. I cant wait to get mine.
  • What about for walking on an incline of higher than 3%. Is the reading from the machine still accurate? I usually walk up to a maximum of 5-6% incline.
  • I dont think you are eating enough to support your activity at all. 20-25 miles a week and only 1400 cals a day? I dont know how much you weigh but your cals seem very low. If you're going to be doing such strenuous activity then your calorie deficit from food needs to be lower.
