I started at 186 on 1/4 and have lost 24 pounds and at least 2 pants sizes.

I've got 6 kids and I think all parenting is a matter of balance. I don't talk about "trying to lose weight" or calories or proteins or all of that. right now I'm the mom and I make all the food and they eat what I serve. They know they eat "healthier" than some of their classmates and that we like to eat a lot of veggies…

I like zucchini boats for lunch. Halve a zucchini lengthwise, scrape out seeds (or don't) put spaghetti sauce down the center and top with mozzarella cheese and some basil. I usually bake it close to 400 for about 15 minutes. Very yummy!

amazing transformation! way to go!

I don't add anything extra. I just log it at whatever walking speed I'm doing and just consider any extra calories a tiny bonus. My 11 month old (today!) hangs out in my Beco butterfly 2. Yesterday I was pushing 2 kids in the jogger (a 70 pound total), wearing the baby (who weighs just shy of what I've lost) and going up…

That's so great about the whole family getting involved! Tracey I'd wait a bit on the pants if it were me (unless you really have nothing and everything is falling off!) I was looking through pictures from Christmas and saw a picture taken with my dd on her birthday. Yikes. So I went up and took a picture now to see if I…

Angel that's awesome. Way to go for making such positive changes for your family!!!

YAY! New jeans for everyone!! That's awesome to be told that you are an inspiration to a gym instructor! Keep it up! I've actually got 6 kids! can't believe my baby will be 1 next month! Other NSVs: -I've actually run a mile and a half without stopping. -my belt needs to go in 3 notches (I've lost 7 inches around my waist)…

Way to go! I'd love to be in an 8 again. Haven't seen that size since 2001 I think! (5 kids ago!!) My jeans are getting bigger too. In December I had to buy size 16s. :( I quickly got into the 14s once I started here, but this week I fit in my old 12s! Very happy about that!

My 4 year old walks everywhere normally, but if I'm going for an exercise walk she can sit in the stroller for that time so I can walk faster. Naps or quiet time are non-negotiable around here. They need to stay in their bed and rest if they aren't going to sleep. They need it and I need it.

I have 6 kids. (10, 8, 6, 4, 2, and 10 months.) 3 are in school, 3 aren't. After the oldest 3 go to school it's time for the baby's nap so usually I let the 2 and 4 yr old watch a video while I get on the treadmill or lift weights. If that doesn't work everyone naps after lunch (the 4 year old doesn't always sleep, but she…

instead of the mayo how about salsa and guacamole salsa and have it on one of those flat out wraps? those things are huge and just 100 calories. This recipe for guac salsa is only 13 calories for a tablespoon and the jar of it keeps for a week or 2 in the fridge.…

I think black bean brownies are gross but I tried CCKs deep dish cookie pie and that was AWESOME. Didn't tell my kids and they had chick peas in it and they were begging for more. Even after finding out what was inside (and licking their plates clean) they were asking for more.

I love green smoothies. My favorites are: 2.5 cups spinach, half a banana, 1/3 cup frozen mangoes or peaches(or both!) and half a cup of water and ice cubes. Or a kids greek yogurt, 2.5 cups spinach, 1/c cup frozen strawberries, 1/2 banana and 1/2 cup frozen blueberries. We have them all the time here. My kids love them…

You look great! Way to go!

That's a great update! I've bet you've lost more inches too than you would have just jogging.

oh no jen!!!! I hope you feel better soon!

I add "breastfeeding" from under the food tab to my food diary each day. I chose the 300 calorie one since my little one is 10 months and eats table food now. I think if you nurse exclusively you're supposed to add 500 calories.

Great loss last week!! Did you see skinnytaste's coconut chicken salad? We made them and they were amazing. Might save you some time modifying the our best bite's one. This week for us: -Skinnytaste baked mac n cheese with spinach. (had it last night and it was SO yummy. Everyone loved it!) -taco salad -skinnytaste chicken…

I had a good week. Think I set me goal of 30 miles too low. I did 18 miles this week which brings me to to 22 miles for the month. I'll blow by my 30 mile goal, now I just want to see how high I can get! Keep it up everyone!

I find I have to just do the music because she says words we don't use in this house. Leslie Sansone from Walk away the Pounds talks a lot but I don't ever notice it because she's so kind and upbeat.

Sounds great! I started these last month and really like them. I'm in for 30 miles this month. So far I've done 7 so 23 miles to go!

I did day 1 of level 2 yesterday and boy did I feel it this morning. Level 1 didn't leave me so sore but waking up this morning I could just feel it just doing nothing in bed. There are a ton of planks in it.

Those dinners sound yummy Jen! i'll have to try the lasagna rolls and zucchini boats. We had the Laughing Cow alfredo last night and I was kind of underwhelmed. 2 kids ate all of it, 1 ate some and 2 ate none--and my kids love alfredo. But I also used ww pasta so maybe that was it for the kids. here's the post where I…

We're just posting our dinner menus. Lunch for me is usually a Flat out wrap with turkey and guac salsa or leftovers from the night before. Breakfast is always an egg or 2 with toast and sometimes some fruit. Snacks are often almonds, a cookie, some nutella, fruit, just found these almond pops with cranberries at Costco…
