I haven't read the whole thread, but in case it hasn't been said, This guy wants to be a personal trainer? No. He clearly lacks the prerequisite skills to successfully motivate and support. And he's a totall asshat. Welcome to MFP :flowerforyou: :drinker:

I just wanted to say, I read ALL 16 pages :drinker: OP: do it right. Weigh and log ALL your food, get a hrm to track exercise calories, be consistent about this for at least 6 weeks and then report back. That is all.

I am one of those anomolous people that has never had nicotine cravings so can, and have, gone from smoker to non-smoker without issue - but I enjoy the action of smoking, so for me discovering e-cigs was awesome as I can indulge without inhaling all the crap - and honestly I prefer the taste and feel of smoking e-cigs! I…

Also, expect at 140 to not lose very quick, yes it's just (just) over the "normal" weight range for your weight, but it IS pretty much normal (I'm AIMING for 140 hehe and I'm not much taller than you!) So whatever method you choose, it does need to be sustainable for you for a good length of time

I hope for your sake, that's not why you're username is NotSoBigNeil!

This is something I can relate to and I know why (for me at any rate) it is the case - I never relaised *how* big I was, my self image has always been very similar, my brain thought I looked size 12. Once I started properly focussing on weight loss, I became more aware of my apearance, but because I wasn't as aware of it…

Sometimes you have to take some you time. True friends and loved ones will understand. I do think you're over-worrying about what others think of you, which whilst perfectly natural isn't very productive. You are your own worst critic and you worry that others judge you by the same cirteria to which you're already judging…

That sounds like a pretty bad case of IBS or othe GI issue - my advice is see a different doctor!

Go for it, it's a giggle :) I've only ever taken one lesson myself as a taster (sadly just can't afford the course else I would!) and it was so much fun, and no, you don't start out doing high flying stunts, just getting the basic strut around the podium and a few basic swings is enough for a beginner! And I was definitely…

Oh and three weeks is no time at all, many of us didn't start seeing scale budges for 6 weeks or more into it, so just keep going. There are more reasons than the scale to maintain a healthy lifestyle

If you're doing 40 minute cardio sessions you'll be burning up a few extra hundred calories, so need to be eating more to fuel this. It's easy to add a couple of hundred healthily by having a bit of peanut butter, nuts, using coconut oil..

talk to your friends, tell them it didn't go to plan and you can't afford the travel costs at this time, but also plan ahead NOW for when you *can* go and get it booked, so you can tell them the good news that you definitely are coming on x date now that you've been able to arrange transport. There's no shame in being…

1) at 5ft5 and 12st, you are not horrendously overweight at all. 2) at 600 cals a day of processed crap, you're doing yourself damage - you already said you are anaemic, and this is due to your diet. 3) you need to get over the fear of the scale going up - if you eat right and exercise it will go down - some days you will…

I'd go with option 2 personally. But then that's because it's unfathomable for me to spend a 1/4 of my wages on a trip, as that would also leave me homeless  Also consider the fact that you'll be knackered when returning from the whirlwind trip and will probably find motivation to stay on top of your fitness goals…

First off, had to say "part 69, fnarfnar" Also @jennifer_417, rocking a sexy set of curves with a sexy glass o' wine!

I have the same problem, even cycling and the cross trainer gives me gyp, but I just try to keep going (I don't do that long in the grand scheme though!) Swimming breast stroke doing the frog legs thing is pretty good as well. But like you, I am just resigned to having crappy knees.. I am just trying to improve range of…

Sure, tape measure over scales for progress, but scales every time to weigh what you eat!
-
Better start earning yourself some extra cals from exercising! Or, don't sweat it, either way I'm sure you'll be fine!

i had the same thing, after one month the scale was going down and I was really disappointed that the tape measure hadn't budged. I'm pretty sure I measure in the same places as I have given specific names to the locations. But, the good news is, after 2 months, suddenly when I re-measured I had lost between 0.5 and 1 inch…

Running on the crosstrainer, my t-shirt somehow caught on the hand bar on the back pull, didn't realise until the bar shot forward, dragging t-shirt and me with it and nearly throwing me *kitten* over tit through the front of the machine. So grateful this is at home with closed curtains and only my dogs to judge me

Nope, if I get a migraine, a true one, it's lights out, dark silent room and a cold flannel over my face until the next day, there is no ability to function beyond that. Chromic or even acute headaches, sure, work through those, but migraines put you out for the count. Just rest up and get back at it when you're well again!

I got pretty bad sunburn last week and had nothing to put on it so I raided my fridge.. cold sliced cucumber worked wonders for it!

I have tried organic gluten free bread and it doesn't seem to bloat the way regular bread does. It's quite nice but also a bit of an acquired taste because the texture is so unusually light and it seems to dissolve as soon as you eat it lol

Another vote for wrapping the onion with the bacon and going for both..

source another transmitter from ebay, way cheaper
