Misplaced Polar FT7 HRM Transmitter

So, bummer town. I use my Polar FT7 religiously and seem to have misplaced the transmitter portion, you know the little block that snaps onto the chest strap. I called customer service and they said the only way to replace it is by buying a new transmitter for $50. Yikes! Does anyone know a cheaper option here? Seems incredibly expensive, maybe I would be better off just buying another HRM altogether. Any experience with this?

Thanks!

I misplaced my strap for the my FT7. After searching online I broke down and bought a whole new HRM. Good thing because the strap and transmitter is quite a bit different than my older model. Good luck.
