I only have a cup of coffee before my morning run which is usually at 5k except for once a week (usually Saturday) where I do my long run, which is a 10k at the moment but am trying to get beyond that. Even then, I don't do anything other than a cup of coffee and my morning pills with some water. Maybe if I get up into the…

Personally, I am more afraid of cars not seeing me and running me over than someone attacking me. I do carry pepper spray, stay on busy streets and just wear one ear bud so I can hear my surroundings. I refuse to be afraid to run outside. I have been lunged at by dogs, but never people. Every once in a blue moon I see…

Why do you think people are going to make fun of you? Depression is no joke. I have it but I have been going to therapy and also taking medication. Plus, I run and make sure to get plenty of sun or light, especially during the winter months. You just need to tell you wife plain and simple that you suffer from depression.…

I think if he was going to look at you and be sad, it is because you have such a poor self image. You look down upon yourself and you feel that is how he must feel too. Has he said that he would find you more attractive if you lost weight? If he hasn't, don't assume he has. That is the worst thing you can do because it…

To her, she may think anything you say about food or about her weight is shaming her. You may not intentionally be doing that, but that could be how she perceives it. She probably feels intimidated by you since you are fit and eat healthy. She has a job and buys it herself. She eats because she is probably unhappy and has…

I am going to take this from your daughter's side since I have been there. I know you have good intentions and want what is best for her. However, she won't see it that way. She sees that you are picking at her. Don't point out her weight. She knows full well she is overweight and probably hates herself for it. What she…

You are going to hear this a lot, but you should really seek some counseling for your eating disorder. Clearly you have some very deep seeded issues that can't be worked out by yourself or by the people on this website.

If you can't find knee high boots to fit, Aerosoles makes ones that unzip a little at the top to give you more room. There are tons of boots out there that will fit the larger calf.

I have a cup of coffee before I head out for most of my morning runs.

My second toe is longer than my big toe. I have to make sure I buy shoes at least a half or full size larger than what I am used to. Otherwise, you will have that rubbing of the toes. It doesn't cost anything to go to a running store and get tested for what kind of running shoe is best for you. You don't even have to buy…

Have you asked her why she is so unmotivated to workout and get healthy? It is difficult to change and make new habits stick. She probably has thrown in the towel and wants you to do the same. You will have to tell her that maybe it is time the two of you not workout together because you feel she is holding you back or…

It also good to stretch. I find that standing on a stair and lowering your heels helps with stretching. I found that ice and rest helped a great deal. Sometimes it can take a while for that to heal. Also strengthen your legs and glutes.

You problem is your excuses. You have to not hit snooze and get up and exercise. It really is that simple. I have to hit the ground running or else I won't get up and go for my run. I never regret my morning runs, but I do regret not getting my run in. Think about how much better you will feel after working out. Plus it is…

You can build up a tolerance to the taste of salt, which means that you have to add more and more to get the same taste. You need to give your taste buds a break from all of the salt to kind of reset themselves. You will find that given enough time, things will be oversalty.

You can't turn to food to help deal with the stress of life. Find other ways to manage it like exercise or a hobby to distract yourself. You have to make you a priority even during the tough times.

Do you do any core work? I have found that the stronger my core, there is no back pain. Pilates is great for core work.

I just do the good old snot rocket when I run. I never carry tissues because they get destroyed mid way through. I have more or less perfected it so that I don't get it all over me. No one is around when I do it so that they won't get hit with snot.

Why do you care what they think? How do you know that they will feel that way? I am sure not everyone who regularly takes the class gets to if it fills up early. No one is really going to care if you are new or not. If they didn't sign up in time, that isn't your problem. They should have known better. Just go and enjoy…

People tend to mistake thirst for hunger. Try drinking some more water after your workout and see if that helps. I work out first thing in the morning with just a cup of coffee in my system and don't get very hungry because I make sure to drink enough water afterward. My workout consists of a 4-5 mile run.

If you haven't run in a long time, you should start out with just one run a day until you build up enough stamina. You could get hurt by running twice a day when you body isn't used to it. Get in better shape before jump into twice a day. Go to Runner's World. They have some articles about running twice a day.

It sounds like you suffer from depression. Have you sought out counseling and/or medication to help? You have to let go of the pity party going on in your head. What I found that helps is that every time I have a negative thought or the pity party starts, to stop it right then and there. I tell myself that that isn't true…

Is there anything about yourself that you don't hate? Are you engaged? Clearly there is something pretty great about you to find a person who wants to spend the rest of their life with you. Do you have a great sense of humor? Do you have any special skills that distinguish you from others? Focus on the positive. If you…

I found that heat made the situation worse. I ice the area that is inflamed after I have taken a hard ball and massaged the piriformus. Between that, working on my core and stretches, it helps.

I was the fat kid and fat adult. My mother would try to encourage me to lose weight and be active. I was a bookworm and liked to stay inside. I would sneak food when she wasn't around. I wanted to be thin, and did Weight Watchers on and off. It took me a while to realize what I needed to do to lose the weight. What I am…

Most calorie counts on restaurant websites are estimates. Depending on who is preparing the meal, it could vary by. What you think you are eating, could be a lot more. Also, try putting yourself in your friend's shoes. Maybe she has her reasons for changing restaurants. There are two sides to this story and I bet if we…

It is good that you spoke up. His reaction is similar to men who get called out for making rude comments and catcalls. They will say they were only trying to be nice. You are there doing your own thing and didn't need him to give you his advice. Anyone who says that maybe he was trying to be constructive and helpful is…

Why don't you have the actual fruit? Have an orange instead of orange juice? Ramp up on fruits and veggies and rest.

I know you want to try and understand where she is coming from, but have you asked her why she does and say the things she does? Is there something in her past that makes her behave that? I know why my mother will say and do things, but I have learned how not get upset and set my boundaries with her. You shouldn't expect…

If you are on blood pressure medicine, you really should be watching your sodium intake.
-
For one thing, your sodium is really high. Secondly, you definitely aren't eating enough to fuel your body. You should be eating at least half or of your exercise calories. Are you measuring and/or weighing everything? If you are just eyeing it, you could be off.
