I don't know the official name, but doing the girly pushups is a good way to start (the ones on your knees). Those cut out about half of your weight, and when you get strong enough to do a bunch of those, you can then move up to regular pushups.

I LOVE cottage cheese! It's so very good! Even plain! There are some cottage cheese brands that make it with pineapple or other fruits. It's also good in smoothies. Or just eat a bowl of it plain. Yum. Don't be afraid of the nay-sayers.

You don't seem that heavy, so trying to burn 600 cal/day might be more than your body can handle (on a regular basis). Try for 1-1.5 lbs loss per week and see how that works (just lowering it a little bit might get your body to regulate a little better).

My doctor told me once that too much fiber slows down the digestive system and, yes, makes it harder to use the bathroom. She said that, until we get to an older age, we don't need a significant amount of Fiber but should still with a multi-vitamin instead of high fiber foods/supplements.

You're doing a WONDERFUL job! Congratulations & keep up the good work. I know exercise is hard, try and find some activities that require you to moved, but can also be enjoyable (I went on a beautiful bike ride today along one of the long bike paths, it was hard, but so beautiful I wanted to keep going). :-)

Thick dark hair requires that I shave my whole legs. Now I'll shave once every two or three days (because I'm lazy), but mostly because I hate the way it feels inside my pant legs.
