yay good for you. The non scale victories are the most important because the scale is such an unpredictable thing. Best to let your clothes be your guide as you are doing :) Congrats!!

Oh and make sure you have a really good pair of shoes. I have plantars fasciitis due to running in bad shoes.

5 will become 10 minutes before you know it. You don't have to run a mile right away. Good for you for caring about your body enough to begin this process. Being patient is the key!! Keep up the good work. It will get easier and you will begin to love it. Those endorphins are pretty powerful.

Why decide now when you are nowhere near goal?? Who knows how you will feel. If you have done this before, this time may be different. Your quest may evolve into fitness instead of a certain weight goal. A number on a scale cannot and should not define you. Like others have said, it is what you want that is most important…

I think it has to do with body types too. The only predictable thing is that it is unpredictable. Regardless, as long as my sizes are getting bigger at home instead of smaller, it is all good. I let the size be my guide, not the scale. As soon as the clothes get too big, I donate them to charity so I never go backwards. :)

try to eat clean instead by limiting the processed stuff. Diets that you cannot keep up for life never work in the long term. Get frozen fruits and veggies if the cost it too high. Didn't get the final results but my blood percent is up .2 percent due to all the juicing of iron rich foods and egg eating that I have been doing. :) I was pleasantly surprised. Looks like I will be avoiding another iron infusion :) and I am not taking supplements. Just eating and drinking real food and fruit/veggie juice.

I have a very large appetite but along the way I have figured out that what I choose makes a really big difference in weight loss and how I feel. I allow myself unlimited fruits and veggies throughout the day and never gain an ounce. Everything else I limit. It works for me. I just got my blood work and it is fantastic :)

I hate it because it makes my stomach do flip flops and then empties itself out rapidly. lol. I gave it up years ago because the price for a couple minutes of good taste was just too high. Ice cream and I are not friends. However, I don't have any issues around others enjoying it.

I am gluten free but I rarely eat processed gluten free products because of how I feel after I eat them. Not sure if it is the flour or the sugar. Best to get a piece of fruit instead. We are all different and obviously your child 's reaction should be alerting you to something he might be allergic to.

Spinach, beets,quinoa, wild rice, red meat if you eat it, eggs etc etc. Processed iron pills cause constipation. Eat the iron in it's natural form and your body will thank you for it. maybe it is safer to make soup with them instead of eating them raw. I have a pretty strong stomach lol. My kid ate some black eyed peas and was fine too. But better to be safe than sorry. Maybe a bean, veggie soup is in order :) I read boiling them more than 10 minutes is adviseable.
