Congrats, what a great accomplishment and an amazing feeling to cross the finish line! I ran my first 5k 9months ago and never thought I'd see myslef as a runner, well I'm totally hooked now and running halfs. Have you got your next race lined up yet?

I think that's great that your going to do this, if you run more than one day in a row in training it won't be a whole lot different, you push yourself more in a race than training, but I think you'll be fine. Remember stretch lots after, and keep hydrated, and a good nights rest before each race. Take it easy a few days…

I am a new runner, have ran a 5k am entered in an 8k in two weeks and a half marathon in sept if I can't get into the 10k instead lol.

How bout circuit training while the kids are playing they can do it to. chasing them around, we have races at our place all the time, soccer, tag, walks, jump rope, gardening :flowerforyou:

Hey Jody I think its do-able if you stick with it. I also think if you can fit in a walk during the day it would help and now that its nice out it might actually be enjoyable. I know walking really helped me with weight lose even though it didn't count for a lot of calories I still seemed to loose weight while doing it.
