8 week goal

Okay so i have made my first goal ever for weight loss, i have always just done what i have and see where i have gotten from there... But i am starting to think if i set some goals for my weight loss i might have a better chance of getting to my actual goal weight. so here it goes:
April 4-May 30th (8weeks)
Goal to loose 25 lbs
How: 30 day shred 1-2 times a day for 7 days a week
1200 cal a day for food
NO POP, NO POP, NO POP, NO POP
66 oz ( 8 glasses) water at least a day
Lots of Greens (food)

Any other tips or ideas for me to reach this goal please help me out, also please let me know if this is reachable or out of reach....i need to set a realistic goal!

    But 25 lbs in 2 monthes sounds a bit rushing. How about 10?
    My experience so far is that with 1200 cal /day intake, I am losing 1-1.5 per week. My goal is to lose 20 lbs in total but I don't know how long that will take. :)
    I dont know what your normal diet is. To me it's not very hard to feel satisfied with 1200 cal. I still eat what I normally eat but less. :) Hope this helps.

    Hey, I have only returned to this site and the whole weightloss thing a fortnight ago.

    In that time, ive done at least half hour exercise a day (the first week i doubled it) i also ate 1200 cals and managed to loose 6lb over the two weeks - 5lb of that was in the first week - so i would have lost more this week but i was away sorta on hol and let go a bit.

    My advice would be to exercise daily, even if its just a half hour walk around the block or walking the dog etc, it did a huge amount for me really helpped me get everthing into perspective....also, i have drunk pop on those two weeks, i just take it off my 1200 calorie goal :)

    MAKE SURE you eat back your exercise calories, or you will be screwing your metabolism up in the long run!

    I actually think 20 lbs in 2 months is totally do-able. 25 might be pushing it a little.

  • Im eating 1500 calories a day and im doing 30 minits of exercise a day. and Im loosing about 2 pounds a week. that is about 8 to 10 pounds a month. that should be your goail is 1 to 2 pounds a week for healthy weight loss.if you loose to much to fast thair is a chance you will gain it all back and the put on more weight.I have lost 8 pound in one month. this is whats working for me. everybodys body is diffrent.you have to find that balance that works for you.PS I know my profile says 2 pound but I started and stop tracking my calories so it has taken me 3 weeks to get back to whare i started.
  • Hey Jody I think its do-able if you stick with it. I also think if you can fit in a walk during the day it would help and now that its nice out it might actually be enjoyable. I know walking really helped me with weight lose even though it didn't count for a lot of calories I still seemed to loose weight while doing it.
