It's not always good to be sore, but it is normal if you've never really lifted before. You will not gain any weight! At 193 you have more to lose. On lifting days, however, you NEED to eat more. It doesn't have to be much, but MAKE SURE you eat something (preferably a protein shake) within 30 min after you lift.

I usually go twice a day for an hour at a time. However, on Saturday and Sunday I will go only once and I can usually do 1.5-2.5 hours depending. I take one rest day a week - usually a Wed or Thursday. And also, sometimes i don't have time to do twice during the week or I am too exhausted to get up in the AM. Just remember…

You are probably losing it proportionately, meaning it is going away, just from everywhere are not all in one area. Just keep doing what you're doing! Stick with it! Also, I don't know if you are lifting weights, but if you could fit that in it would definitely help you drop some pounds! Hope this helps!
