I'm sorry....we ended up having to put him down Thursday. He went from healthy good looking horse with a tumor on his penis to losing over 200 lbs in two days. He could barely stand and had stopped eating/drinking. With the consult of our vet we did the humane thing and let him go as peacefully as we could. We couldn't let…

Thank you. I'm trying to research more about it and what the "experts" say about recovery or even if it's worth attempting surgery. I just don't want to let him suffer too much.

That is awesome!

We got him to the vet today....he has a tumor on the end of his penis. We take him Monday for biopsy unless he drops more weight. He went from healthy to where his hip bones are almost showing in just a few days. He cannot pull his penis into the sheath and urinating is not a stream but almost like putting your finger over…

Hi all! I was looking for a group like this. Name : highflyer88 (for the spreadsheet). Real name Rebecca SW : 224 GW : 199 BMI : 39.7 GW is a little over 1 pound a week. Completely doable if I stay on track. In three weeks I have a biometric screening done so that will be my first mini goal. It is to be down at least 5…

That sounds like an awesome town to live in. Though seems a bit crowded at the farms(land vs horses) I guess maybe because where our horses are boarded we have a far smaller number of horses on almost that much land. But I live in Delaware, OH but my horses are in Marion. Neither town has farms in town but there is still…

Hey everyone. I've had type 2 for a couple years now. It's a constant struggle for me because even if I start losing weight I tend to injure myself easily. I also love carbs, sweets you name the things that they tell you not to eat I love! I'm rereading the information I was given at my diagnosis to try and find a way to…

For me honestly it's been a combination of things...first I was diagnosed two years ago with diabetes and told to lose weight. Well two years later I haven't lost weight. Also the last two summers I haven't been able to do as much as I like due to stupid injuries...one of which is most likely weight related (stress…

It's long hard journey but will be worth it in the end. Keep going!

Most veggies are good low-cal snacks. Best thing to do is buy and cut them up and put into containers so you have them ready when you want them. Seems to be the best way to make sure you don't decide on something bad if you don't have to take the time to cut things up when you get the munchies. I try to keep a variety on…

You can do this. Make a plan and stick with it!

Hi I'm Rebecca. 37 year old mom if two active kids. My goal is to get down to 135-140lbs which will be about a 90lb lose for me. I am doing this for two reasons...first and foremost is my health. I am diabetic and I want to get healthy to make it easier I fight. The second is I set a good example for my sons. I never want…

Congratulations on the weight loss! I agree with the other poster can you pin or somehow reduce the size of the belt temporarily....may look slightly odd but I think this is an awesome problem to have. Or is there someone you know who has a smaller belt you can use for that day?

Hi Alison! Friend request sent. I am coming back from an injury so I am doing things slowly but I still have 90 pounds to lose to get to my healthy weight. I currently am at 217pounds down from my highest of 240. Small loss but it's made a huge impact on my energy already. Welcome to MFP! You can do this!!!

For all of you who have been doing some total *kitten* kicking this month I want to say great work! I am slowly getting back into exercise after most of the month being down due to a neck injury that has really put a kink into everything I usually do. Grand total for the month is only 5 miles. I will be back in November…

I'm in for 35 miles in October.

SW 227.0 Aug 8th - 227.2 (up .2lbs) Aug 15th - 224.6 (down 2.6) Better weigh-in this time...didn't get it posted since I was sick but wanted to catch up!
-
SW 227.0 Aug 8th - 227.2 (up .2lbs) I can live with it...more motivation to remember to weigh in when I get up and not after breakfast! Funny thing is my clothes aren't as tight and I have more energy so maybe it's muscle gain??? Not sure but I will get the 10 lb goal by the 31st!

I'm overweight and a rider too. My horse is a paint TWH named Skeeter that I've had for a little over two years now. Love her and don't ride as much as I should (Work and kids don't always allow it). Let me know if you start a group more than happy to join!
