  • Lost 42 pounds and it took about 6 months for the first 35 and the last 7 took another 3 months! Still have 5 pounds to go but I am not stressed about those. I am so much stronger and look and feel so much healthier
  • Don't give up you can do this if you really want to! I have a friend who lives in the city and runs/walks the stairs during her lunch break instead of going to a gym and she lost a bunch of weight. Best of all she encouraged a couple other people at work to join her and they push each other to keep going. Maybe you could…
  • When I got with in 2 pounds of my goal weight I booked a trip to Cuba. Heading out next week and packing lots of bikini's! Yahooooo!
  • I work out twice a week with a friend and the other times on my own either as part of a class or by myself circuit training. I like this balance because some times I don't feel like being social when I work out. My work out time is the time that I can be selfish and only think about myself and what am accomplishing for me.…
  • You should probably avoid approaching a woman at the gym and hope to bump into her somewhere else. Working out is often a very personal thing that allows a person to tune out the rest of the world and concentrate on themselves. I personally wouldn't like the intrusion. If you saw me outside of the gym and then approached…
  • They don't cater to vertically challenged people either! Can't get a pair of work out pants there unless they are shortened....not worth the trouble or the crazy inflated prices. I would shop somewhere else and let the elite fashion snobs shop there
  • I love Jillian Michael's No More Trouble Zones, 6 Week 6 Pack and Ripped in 30. Didn't like 30 Day Shred .....too boring and not really much information on when to switch levels Turbo Fire I did for 5 weeks, sweated my butt off and killed me knee but didn't lose even one pound. Way too much jumping and twisting for me.…
  • Mother of 2 very active kids ages 13 & 15. Both in Rep baseball and one in rep hockey. I work full-time and do the bulk of the driving to games and practices while trying to lead a healthy lifestyle and provide for my family....Lord give me strength! Please add me!
  • Incentives for making healthy lifestyle decisions and promoting active living make more sense to me too!
  • try eating vegetables that are in season. They taste so much better and are a lot cheaper. Buy them at a local farmers market or road side stand. I eat most of mine raw as I hate them cooked and soggy. It does not really cost more to eat healthy but it does cost a lot more down the road with medical bills if you ignore…
  • Thanks for this posting...perfect timing! I have been doing Turbo Fire for 2 weeks and did have a slight increase on the scale despite my sweating and trying so hard during the workout. I was about to switch to something else but I will stick with it a while longer. So close to my goal that I can't give up now!
  • I typically like Jillian's workouts but I wasn't impressed with the 30 Day Shred. I found it boring. The two I really like by Jillian are No More Trouble Zones and 6 Week 6 Pack. For the No More Trouble Zones you need a mat and a set of hand weights. 6 week 6 pack you just need a mat (you can add weights for more…
  • I would rather ride down them
  • I do my workout in the evenings to help with this problem. After working out and having a shower I don't feel the need to snack anymore. It's a great way to sweat away the stress of the day!
  • I love Jillian's Tone Your Trouble Zones. It gives a great workout without the impact on your knees. I have issues with my knees as well and found 30DS very hard on them too. Tone Your Trouble Zones takes longer to do (about 50 minutes) but it is an awesome workout! I am going to get her yoga workout dvd to add to my…
  • Way to go! I can't wait until I reach my goal too...keep up the amazing work
  • I'm with you sister!
  • I'm 5'1 and 41 years old - mother of 2 SW 178 (holy crap - biggest I've ever been) CW 159 GW 135 Ultimate GW 125 Started MFP 7 weeks ago and eat 1200 calories a day up to 1500 when exercising. I don't always eat my exercise calories back but I always make sure to eat the 1200. Getting all the calories in has been tough as…
