Hills...would you rather run or bike up them?

When my husband and I trained for a triathalon last year, we had this argument. I like to run. He hates to run. He loves to cycle. I, well, I try to love it. But when it comes to hills, I just hate them. I thought I would like them because I love them when they don't really exist, like in spinning class. But when I see a hill on my bike, I just die. I would much rather run up a two mile hill than do it on a bike. How about you?

BIKE. OMG BIKE. I can't think of anything worse than running up a hill. But I'm a cyclist :)

Rather run them.......... I don't have a special hill climbing bike so my legs will do the work

Run - because if I have to stop halfway up, it's much easier to start running up a hill than it is to start pedaling up a hill.

Even though I consider myself more of a cyclist than a runner, I really prefer hill sprints on foot. Even on my road bike hills are just painful, and if I have to stop I'll often tip off the side of the road before I can get my feet unclipped.

Sprinting up a hill just feels natural and I love it.

Can I run up and bike down?

They are easier since I went with a compact a few years ago, but they still suck to bike up.

I grew up in the Appalachian foothills, they are not fun either way but running up them is better than biking up them any day.
