Oh I'm so sorry for your loss  If it's any consolation, judging from the pics you posted it seemed his short life was full of fun and happiness with you and the other dogs. At least you made his short life so much better. *hug*

That's great! Not being stressed out definitely helps too.

CONGRATULATIONS!

I hope it went well!

Hi!! I'm hoping to return to it this week after a long hiatus. I'll be picking up where I left off.

Welcome, Jessica! You must be so excited about your upcoming defense! I am aiming to have mine around July or so *fingers crossed*

I love this post! I enjoy your presence on my friends' list :D Keep up the great work with the training :)

Hi Commoshin! Welcome! Indeed, we can be smart, fit and healthy :D We want it all!!

Hello, Marquita! What kind of dancing did you do in undergrad? I understand the whole being on the go thing, if you have experiments, class, etc. I do best when I plan my time better (what to eat, making time to work out) but it's a near daily struggle because of the amount of work I have.

Hello hello! I wasn't happy with how my week 6 went, so I'm going back to week 6, day 1 today. I only did 2 out of 6 workouts last week, due to being under a lot of stress at work/school and working insanely long hours. At least my nutrition wasn't so terrible and the scale finally moved again. I want to do this honestly,…

I hope everyone is having a good week so far! Week 6, Day 2: 312 kcal burned with Fire 30. Also did Sculpt 30.

WOW! Thanks so much, everyone, for all your responses and for helping out a newbie. I love this group! There are plenty of helpful ideas in this thread, and the common denominator is advance planning and preparation. I will have to put in the time to do this over the weekend to start off next week right. I might even be…

Nah, you gave me some good ideas, thanks! I need to plan better and use some more imagination in my food prep. Right after posting this, I found a nice thread full of recipes using protein powder, so it might be helpful for me to try making meals and snacks with that.

My "gym" is at home where I have my cardio and strength training videos, resistance band and lower body band. Unless I banish myself from my own home, there is no escaping it :ohwell: I realized a while ago that gym memberships don't work for me personally because I will always find some excuse, especially during winter in…

Oh wow  I didn't know that all sorts of wonderful things are possible with protein powder! I feel like I've been living under a rock..

You are most definitely NOT hideous or disgusting. You are a person trying to improve themselves, and that's why you joined MFP. That's a great step. It seems that you recently began your weight loss journey, so you must stick to exercise and good eating habits. The changes will come, but you need to give the process some…

I remind myself how good exercise feels once I actually get off my behind and do it. I love feeling that accomplishment and like I can conquer the world  Also, I am majorly dissatisfied with how my upper arms look, so that's another motivating factor :grumble:

Week 6, Day 1 55 EZ - 576 kcal burned

That sounds exactly like my problem and how I ended up in this situation! Good planning and time organization have helped me a lot so far

Week 5, day 5: 55 EZ, 557 kcal burned :glasses:

Week 5, day 4 Fire 30 (308 kcal burned) followed by Tone 30

Great work, chi88! I like how you chose to do the longer HIIT when you didn't have to

My favorite this winter is chili and chocolate tea from David's Tea. I love its fragrance and taste! I like Early Grey too.

Welcome to the group and to the world of Turbo Fire! I felt less sore with time (I'm in week 5 now), and the stretch videos definitely help.

My aim is in the neighborhood of 1400-1550. While I would like to lose 50 more pounds, my job isn't completely sedentary (I am a graduate student in a lab), and I am on my feet or walking back and forth between different work areas most of the day- not to mention there is a lot of thinking involved, so I can't afford to…

Hi Jolee, in terms of pounds I didn't lose that much over the past month (something like 6-7 lb). But I feel like I have shrunk, and I am really happy that I can keep up a lot better with the cardio moves now. Once you get the hang of the moves and the lingo, you can better focus on crushing the workouts. So in terms of…
