^^^^Well I submit that my stomach is mutated. The end.

I was going to say this. Do the weight lifting . . . trust me if you start to get a look you don't like it will happen way slowly enough for you tweak and change your routine so that it doesn't continue. I've read tons and tons of things that show that to get that nice rounded look + small waist and slim thighs you've got…

No, it's effected by eating larger meals.

Yes your stomach can shrink. It's happened to me lots of times. Then I just eat a couple huge meals in a row and it stretches right back out . . . .DON'T be me! Don't stretch your stomach back out. You really want your stomach to stay small so that you feel full on smaller portions. But then again looking back at your post…

Ironically once when I was at what my goal weight is now about 145 (oh to be back there!) I did lose weight because I was ill--down to 117 lbs--and everyone told me I looked great . . . which bothered me b/c I knew I looked like someone who had just died . . . actually I did tell some of them "No I've just lost weight…

Not happy. But maybe better than other winters. Although the good weather and light therapy could also account for that. I . . . . HATE . . . WINTER.

She must have been bored in order to post this.

I don't know about your HRM moniter but on mine I had to set it up specifically for me . . . weight and VO2 max. I've learned that I burn more toward the end of my exercise than at the beginning because my heart rate stays higher at the end once I've already elevated it. Also interval training is particularly effective. If…

Ohhhh Negative Calories . . . the holy grail!! @Peach . . . Hehe, I was just reading this when I saw you post. Too funny! I especially like the square root of the population of Texas

I would love to look like you do in the less muscular shot . . . but I do see your point. Problem with lifting heavy is that you have to have heavy things to lift and I'm dead broke right now :ohwell:
-
It's possible. Just make sure you set it up for your weight, height, and VO2 max. My husband had set it up for him a while back so after I reset it for me it said I burned less calories (naturally).

^^^^^This!!! This is a learning process. You need to be able to keep it up in the long term so work your way into and don't get SO upset when you makes mistakes that you give up all together. Chalk it up to experience and try again! Edited to Add: Plus drink a lot of water. It really helps. I promise.

Remember that sodium causes water retention. A lot of diet drinks (even caffeine free and crystal light) have sodium in them and that can be counterproductive when trying to flush out your system. However, crystal light seems to be better than caffeine free diet sodas anyway . . . or so my body tells me. I have quit…

Looking back you may be eating too little. I've been reading we shouldn't create more than a 1000 calorie deficit each day and even then we shouldn't create a 1000 calorie deficit too many days in a row. I'm guessing MFP has estimated your daily calories burned to be 2000 right now (if you are sedentary) so that means if…

Okay I already went to the website but other than the basics he describes on the main page is there anything else to it? Because if that is it I've already answered my own later question. I can't do it without owning more weights or a gym membership.
-
Okay so explain strong lifts and then tell me if that's waste of time for me to try if I can't go to the gym and don't own any weights higher than 20lb dumbbells (and can't afford anything right now).
-
Anybody want to explain strong lifts 5x5.

I think she was just talking about the moms and doctors who aim for their child to be in 90% no matter what the height etc. That they don't set the goal to be feeding their child proper nutrition and accepting whatever weight class they are in but instead they overfeed their babies in some misguided attempt for them to be…

Wow, just wow! I knew we had a problem but I didn't realize it was starting at birth!!!! Of course an underweight kid could be a result of allergies (as it turned out to be with one of my cousins) BUT that said being in the 1st percentile may be at the low end but its still okay as long as the kid is healthy. Also there is…

Hmmm . . .

Superb!!! It's hard to believe that tummy has held 6 babies in it!! LOL Good for you!

Bump to finish reading later.

Okay I only read the first page but as to the junk food . . . this is her first time out of the house and there are far worse ways she could be "rebelling" than eating a lot of junk food! As with everything else, the motivation to be healthier has to come from within HER, so you may be stuck watching her be unhealthy for a…

Yep, it sucks. No doubt about it. But . . . 0.8 could be accounted for with water weight easily. Give it a little time. I've been cycling the same 3 pounds for a while now but this past week quit diet sodas and dropped about 5 pounds (obviously mostly water weight) so apparently I had lost fat over the "time of total…

***THIS CHALLENGE IS CLOSED*** add this tag so the thread will not get unmanageable Name/ real name: JGCooper/Jessica Goal weight on March 31st : 192 3/01: 197.8 3/05: 194 (I quit drinking diet soda this week and apparently dropped a lot of water weight--FINALLY!) 3/12: 3/19: 3/26: 3/31:

What kind of dough did you use? And how much? I've never used pastry dough.

^^^^^This!!! You can always think of it as "During" pic instead of an "After" pic but the truth is its nowhere NEAR ground zero!!!! It's a HUGE accomplishment.

I know some people who have been successful on MFP say they have had their diet soda the whole time and done just fine. So I fought tooth and nail to not give up my diet soda. Finally though, due to the lack of success, I reluctantly said goodbye, and apparently my husband (who has been telling me to give it up for months)…

Just my personal experience . . . but do you drink diet sodas? I've been cycling the same 3 pounds for like 2 months now . . . mostly b/c lack of additional weight loss has led to frustration but I quit drinking all diet stuff on Wednesday and it's gotta be mostly water weight but (although I've yet to put it into…
