I take green tea pills. Now I don't really consider them diet pills. But they are an herbal supplement that can aid in weight loss. I find they give me the energy I need for my workouts but they aren't any help unless you put them to work. Of course Green Tea also has other beneficial effects (theoretically) since its…

For heaven's sake someone talk to my husband! If he sees me eating anything "junky" he's convinced I'm screwing up! And he's not doing this with me!!! :explode:

Awesome job! Congratulations on sticking it out on such a long journey. You look so cute and active in your after pic :)

You just get HOTTER everyday! Seriously, great job!

Right, it calls it "Calories burned from normal daily activity" and assumes you have been honest with your activity estimate. It shows you this when you go in to change your goals. Well using various calculators, not the equations provided, my BMR did tend to be in the 1600 range, while my TDEE estimate (and I know its an…

Well according to my calculations based on the equations for TDEE I have been eating TOO much. MFP estimated my TDEE to be 2020 calories a day but based on the equations it comes out to 1608 calories a day.

Very interesting information and a good thing to aware of.

You are NOT overreacting. It's impossible to know whether a guy like this will escalate or not so its best to err on the side of caution. The way I see it you have a couple courses of action. After some consideration I think its probable that in the end you will have to move if you want any peace of mind. I know its…

My husband is constantly trying to get me to quit drinking diet, but then I'd be left with water and this hard enough as it is (and I think Stevia tastes like crap). And yet as the weight seems so SLOW to come off . . . I wonder. Not to mention my lack of energy. *sigh*

I'm with those who find it feels ineffective when working out in the "fatburning" zone. And boring :P

Honestly, I'm not sure why. But it should be noted that you are already in your ideal weight range. At your height you are already pretty slender (no matter how you "see" yourself) and so the scale is probably not the best way to judge your results at this point. In your profile it says you want to be strong and slender…

Dieting is harder. Exercising takes 30 minutes to an hour of mental focus and stamina. Dieting is 24/7 for the rest of your days . . . sigh.
-
It's been a long time since you exercised like this? And you've been doing it all week? Could be water retention due to muscle soreness. Don't give up!! If that's it the weight should go down in a few days.

. . . you gratuitously insult the OP by exaggerating anything and everything they say and claiming THEY are a troll.

Everyone has good suggestions and after your update it sounds like adding more fat back into your diet may be the solution for you. BUT if after ALL of that you are still having problems you might want to try the herb Cascara Sagrada. I buy it in Walmart from the vitamin section but haven't found it anywhere else where I…

I agree with this. Focus on the fact that you are afraid she will die because she is unhealthy. Heart, blood pressure etc etc. Tell her it breaks your heart because you feel helpless watching her kill herself. Unfortunately, in the end you can't make her change. She has to do it. :(

Honestly, it really depends on how you define "ripped." I like seeing some small to medium muscle definition. I think it gives the owner of the body an aura of strength and determination. In addition, it can be very attractive. However, the "look" that body builders usually have to cultivate in order to compete in fitness…

Can definitely see a difference! Nice abs  Do you guys workout at the same time?
-
Honestly this makes me feel more motivated to try and really get into to some weight training. I felt like I wouldn't be able to see the difference from weight training until I lost fat but obviously (although you are smaller than me) that is not true.
-
I can't believe what I huge difference I can see!!! I mean seriously girl, your butt is higher, your waist is tinier, your stomach looks tons flatter, and EVERYTHING looks nice and smooth. GREAT JOB!! Keep going!

Can you go to your 5 o'clock class and then go hang out. Maybe just have some cobbler? Eat the dinner you had planned. I don't know if that's possible, but if you see your sister often and you too are close I see no reason why you shouldn't be able to refuse or eat what you want without offending her. I'm surprised by what…

I worked out at a university gym for a long time and I WAS intimidated if a large group of athletes came in . . . like the baseball players or something you know! But I learned to try and ignore them, unless of course it was just too crowded. I have to admit I was skinnier then . . . I might be more intimidated now…

Have very small portions of some of her food, but go ahead and eat. Family is important and its when we have to cut out all of these kind of activities that we find we can't sustain our weight loss. It's important to learn how to incorporate these events (road bumps even) into our lives without feeling like we have…
