  • get a hot girlfriend who likes to go dancing. All your problems will be solved.
  • Its truly is a never ending cycle until you break it. The only way you ever gonna be happy is if you get off your *kitten*, get off the computer typing on these forums and get on the treadmill. Its gonna take you at least 3 years..might as well start now!!!!
  • when i first started training to get back in shape i was psycho about carbs...it doesnt help the weightloss that much, i always felt drained, and was more likely to cheat because you start craving. The KEY for me, and when i really started to get results was timing my carb intakes, and combinations: 1. Only eat carbs…
  • Motorcycle crash august 10th, 2004. Broke my collarbone, ribs and trashed my s6 vertebra in my lower back (yeah im a mutant, its a birth "defect"). I still have the plate and 8 screws.... Best thing that ever happened me. Made me realize I didn't want to die a fat lazy slob and 7 years later here i am.
  • Ill sum up this thread in one post: Too much google, not enough treadmill.
  • thats funny my buddy the other day told me i look like kelly slater now too....
  • conrgratulations!!! now try and do it in 20 mins or less...to give you an idea the world record is about 15 mins i think. 20 mins or less is benchmark for many football clubs during team tryouts...its verychallenging.
  • drink light beer instead of full calorie beer, and use diet coke/gingerale or soda water instead of full calorie softdrinks....another trick is use crystal light instead of jiuces, for long island ice tea etc....and dont get absolutely out of control drunk...because then you get too hung over and wont train.....then you…
  • yep GSP is the man!!!!
  • amen brotha...being competitive is what will take you to the next level, having success in competition is what will breed confidence...which further pushes you.

  • eat less calories than you burn...it really is that simple. If you only ate one big mac a day and some vitamins youd lose weight like a mother effer...it boils down to willpower..could you sustain that? Probably not. eat sensibly and go for the long term win, a slow constant weight loss will stay off, vs trying to drop it…
  • Heh, im a fighter...dont look too much into it im not a superstar and i currently have no sponsors but im being paid to compete and im surviving. The reality is though that im gettin old and sooner or later im gonna get injured...then that'll be that..so i gotta ride this wave as long as I can. Nok Muay!
  • Take some jiu jitsu classes, tons of older guys do it, and compete..you can become a very strong and fit fighter with little damage to your body. the philosophy behind jiu jitsu is to defeat a larger and stronger opponent without permanently injuring him
  • Dont get too worried about distances and times in the beginning, the goal is hitting the "i wanna quit" barrier. Run and DO NOT STOP until you are thinking in your head this really hurts, its painful and i cant breath and iI need to stop.....Now push on for 5 more minutes. As you progress this breaking point will get…
  • Losing weight is a simple equation...eat less calories than you burn. If you aren't losing weight..you are eating too much or exercising too little. When i say exercise, i mean you need to be pushing yourself cardio wise to the point of exhaustion..then continuing on past that for another 5 minutes every single day. As you…
  • Its wierd to look back sometimes i dont even recognize myself...never give up, its a daily lifelong battle. Ill tell you the biggest thing that helped me was to switch my mindset from trying to look good, and getting attention from women.... to trying to achieve...getting in the ring was the best thing I ever did, maybe…
  • Distance and time for fat loss, intensity for performance.
  • pretty sure i remember learning about this in psych class....when your mind becomes stressed your body sets off a chain reaction linked to survival instincts i believe, releasing cortisol because stress is perceived as a threat subconsciously Someone will probably correct me but from what i recall cortisol basically shuts…

  • classic problem. For most of us I think this happens from having it a little too easy growing up...you can eat what you want sit on your but and drink/party like no tomorrow and there aren't really any consequences. Its good you recognize you dont like where you are going early on. Took me till i was like 26.....I remember…
  • too much math, not enough treadmill.
  • boo hoo. Now get your behind on the treadmill and crank the tunes, and do not get off until you you hit the i wanna quit and cant take this anymore barrier...then go for 5 more minutes. Do the crime, pay the time. ...and its like nothing ever happened.
  • I just add a bit of cardio to my exercise log and err on the side of caution...i work out lik ean animal every single day and im sure i burn more than what im recording. My problem is I eat to much haha..., but im going to be a good boy this month and see if I can drop a weight category 8)
