Thanks for the input. Knowing my instructor, she'll have heavy weights available. She's pretty tough (but all with love.)

meghan- Great to hear about the size 10. You are kickin fat to the curb. Abby- I'm sure it's a lot less busy out there on the 15th compared to the day before anyways. Congrads on the run, that's one heck of a turn out. You should be proud - And are an inspiration. I hope to get there someday. Happy early Birthday (since I…

Weights. Kickboxing. Running. The gym has become like a second home.

Meghan - Sounds.. Interesting. Not sure I could do that shakeology. Can't even do protein shakes, they don't keep me full. Kick some butt this weekend. Meag- It's best to enjoy yourself on vacation, and jump back on the bandwagon when you get back. It's funny how vacations at first can be the most stressful moments trying…

Are you eating when your body is telling you to, and you're eating over 1200 calories? I'm glad you came out and said all of this. I too had this problem - There would be days where I would eat 800 calories, and end it there. I was so proud of myself, and felt good when I turned away from food... ..And then ended up in the…

All of you fellow women inspire me. I'm only about 30 pounds from being able to press double my weight. I do weights 4 times a week (weight machines), and love it. Next weekend going through free-lifting classes for women - Hoping for more muscle work then I already get.

Went on date number two tonight - went great again. I feel like we're able to talk about the stupidest things, and having fun while we're doing it. We went and had a few sample glasses at a brewery here in town. Afterwards we walked to a restaurant- I had half a chicken breast and veggies with an appletini. It really was…

Alright February.. Bring it on. All those chocolate hearts won't weigh us down. ~Allie7383- PR in my Disney Half Marathon, be under 145, log 5 days a week and drink at least 8 glasses of water every day. ~Skreal89 - break the 210 mark for the first time in 3 years; run 4 miles without a walking break; burn 6000 calories a…

Banana, yogurt, or a Special K protein bar.

Recovering from Anorexia. It's a lot harder some days then others, and I often become defensive when people talk about what I'm eating. For example, if someone says "oh there's 20 more calories on that" I tend to get angry and not want to eat it anymore. It's that voice in the back of my head that won't shove it. I have…

Hey ladies, haven't been around much to post thanks to school. Went on a date today, and it went much better then expected. We clicked well, and he seemed to be into fitness himself. We walked for awhile, and then had lunch today. Had a ham and cheese sandwich.. And we split a cheesecake. Shame on me (all his idea.) Going…

I usually have a protein bar. Good on the go snack - and less expensive then stopping at Jamba Juice every time I work out for a protein shake.

That is hard to walk away from.. I respect that.

My motivation: To be able to be outside a hospital room, able to move on my own.

I was a lot heavier back in high school years. After getting into college, I had enough and went on a diet with exercise. It worked, and I shed off the pounds. The problem is.. I never jumped off that wagon, even after I reached my goal wait. It was an obsessive-disorder, I was so cautious about what I ate and how much…

Good save.

It's true. When you work out, especially strength training, you're tearing muscle. After you eat a good diet with protein and when you rest, your body gets time to rebuild that muscle, making it even stronger - And in turn, a lean and powerful you.

From what I've read and heard, muscle weights more then fat by volume. But honestly, when someone looks at you are they going to see a scale over your head that reads your weight? No, they're going to see the composition of your body, and all of the inches you've lost.

My goal for lifting weights is 4 times a week, 40 minutes each period. I alternate between my upper and lower body each weight lifting session. However, I have been focusing on machine weights. My gym is going to do a session for free weights.. Looking forwards to a change up.

Before losing, I could walk outside in the winter in a light coat and feel okay. After losing 60 pounds, I feel cold just about anywhere during the winter. If there is no heater, I am usually wearing a sweater or a coat.

Thanks for sharing. I use to love oatmeal, but still felt empty after I'd have a packet from Quaker. Will try these additions.

Life's been a bit crazy since the beginning of senior semester last week, hence the quiet on this side. Abby - 10 miles is quite the accomplishment. Lookin forwards to the day I can do that myself.. Keep up the awesome work. Cass - Wow, talk about kickin *kitten*. Way to burn that fat. Cynthina - We all need that one day…

Student full time, graphic designer part time. Sitting down all of the time makes me want to hit the gym all the more at the end of the day.

Beautiful. Keep up the good work - It shows how much butt kickin you've done.

I was just in the hospital a few months ago because I ate too little and my body gave in. While I'm not trying to gain any weight now - Not trying to lose any either. Just tryin to be fit and happy. I still find myself looking at nutrition labels, looking to buy the lowest calorie items.. And not eating any more if I'm 200…
