  • Hi I've just finished week 7 of c25k. It's a brilliant programme. I'd not done any regular exercise before this, but I'm starting to feel like a runner! • I'm 5' 5.5". 11 years ago I was 124lbs, the same weight I was when I left school, so I am aiming to get back there:)
  • There's too many to choose, where to start! My first was being able to cross my legs properly, then there is being able to put my shoes on easily, bending down and being able to get back up!, not being so stiff I can hardly move after I've been sat down for a while, having sooooo much more energy, I'm starting to recognise…
  • Hi Thanks, I'd love to join:) The last group I joined, the leader closed her account before the end, so I'm ready to join a bigger outfit!

  • Started 17th April 2011. I've lost 30lbs so far, 31 to go, so almost half way there. Good luck with your weight loss:)
  • Sounds like everyone's doing really well:) Even though I had a 3 hour drive home from a work conference and had to eat dinner first, and let that go down, I still went out for my run. I was a bit tired, but I had a good run. The common where I run is on quite high ground, the sky is huge from there, and tonight there was a…
  • I quite agree. It's great that you and hubby are on this journey together, well done on your success so far, and good luck with the rest of your journey:)
  • A brilliant post - so inspiring. Having never done any running before, I started doing c25k 4 weeks ago, and each time I run, I love it a bit more! I can see why you find it so great, and soon I'll be as addicted as you!! I'd love to be friends, sending a request:)
  • I did week 4 day 1 today. I did a very slow jog instead of a walk to warm up and down which I found warmed me up better. Did one extra run at the end. I did the shorter runs jogging faster than usual, and I managed the 5 mins runs ok, and feel I really pushed myself today! Had fun, and can't wait 'till the next run. I'm…
  • I agree, either run / jog, or walk, run fast! It's a great programme, enjoy!
  • Well done, you're doing great, and I'm sure everyone would join you in thanking you for maintaining this thread and giving us all your encouragement! I finished week 3 on Friday. I did OK, did some extra running after the programmed runs. It seems to take me a really long time to warm up, I feel at my best after all the…

  • I thought it's a myth that you shouldn't eat late. I think as long as you stick within cals you should be ok. I think you should't go to bed straight after a big dinner, better to let it go down for a few mins at least. I don't have dinner late but normally have a snack just before bed, and it doesn't seem to be a problem.
  • Great to see pics of you Charice, looking fab, well done!!!
  • Who has done it? I have just finished week 3 tonight. Tell me more about it? You start by running, then walking, the running times gradually get longer. What did you like or not like about it? I like using the "get running" app. I like how fast I'm making progress If you have never run before (unless chasing the ice cream…
  • I agree. Exercise is important, but your body needs the right quantity, high quality, unprocessed, fresh food to fuel the exercise properly.
  • How fantastic for you I can just picture how you must have felt. Well done you, and here's wishing you many more rollercoaster rides in the future!!
  • If you really want to do this, you can. You don't need a personel trainer, and it sounds like your friend is busy with her own life and family. Take ownership of this yourself rather than blaming others. Everything you need to succeed is on this web site and and your own determination. Sorrry if that sounds hard, but I just…
