i suggest anyone who reads the article, read a number of the comments to. they round out the article nicely. and i do agree with the article in general. my body is very smart in it's signals to me. if i'm eating to lose weight, i go to bed feeling a touch hungry. not uncomfortably or disruptively so..just a feeling i'm not…

i've had my fitbit exactly one month today...and i've lost 15 lb. it keeps me disciplined on my food and exercise, that simple. the best xmas gift i'ver received. i wear it all the time except when i sleep (charge time even though it will go 7 to 10 days without a charge.

good job..just don't sing that song anymore though:)

looked at bodybugg but bought fitbit..too much money for bodybugg for me, i like the size of the fitbit and how i can just put it on my belt.

what she said..and give batman some props..he has to take on some of the same bad guys as super heroes, without superpowers to save his butt!

meat, vegetables, hot and sour soup..you can't go wrong as long as you don't eat any noodles or rice. my gf and i will go for thai food and she will order like lemon grass chicken but only eat veggies and the chicken and the sauce that comes with it. i do that too..sometimes:)

definitely not waterproof folks. if you do happen to get it into water, it could kill it. think what would happen if you forgot your usb stick in the washer..same thing:) there are some reports that people have put it into a sealed pot with rice and it can suck the moisture out and it may work again, but i wouldn't force…

Hi Jade..no, you can't wear it swimming. it's not waterproof..but you can set it into timer mode and manually enter an activity. as horror said, it has many features. the main features for me? -keeps me honest with my activity vs my eating (intake of calories vs output) -it ties into both a fitbit tracking website and…

either i have to live with 1/2 the bacon (say 2 slices instead of 4) or go with turkey bacon, ham..or even a bacon and cheese omelette to get some bacon with too much. i just won't put 360 calories of bacon into my body for breakfast anymore (don't get me wrong..love bacon..could eat a pack at a sitting)

i hate it when someone calls me voluptous:)

i like your meal sizes looking at monday. way more sugar items than i like to have. i used to have pb for breakfast every morning. i note on one of your posts you called it a sugar trigger for you. i think that's the same for me. created craving. i do best in general when i stay away from sugars.

i think there's some half truths about the whole body going into starvation mode thing. i've lost more weight when i know i've gone to bed a little hungry at night..then when i eat to the calories this tells me to eat..way more weight. until i stop losing weight. the system says i should eat 1600 calories a day and warns…

mmmmmmm..loveeeeee gumbo!

i was going to suggest this as well. i'm up early and should have about 450 cals for breakfast but like to split up...breakfast at 5ish then again at 7am, them m snack about 10

i'd say its going to come out between 600-700 calories. yorkshire pudding and mashes potatoes and gravy are probably 350 between them.

the one thing that bugs me about biggest loser is the food challenges with bad stuff. i know why they do it, but...

quit almost 3 (or was it 4?) years ago. my struggle was 2 fold..did i want to lose weight worse or quit smoking worse cause i couldn't do both at the same time. i went on champix and quit completely 13 days later and haven't looked back. and thank god that's done for me. happy to be "friended" by any former/current smokers!

i don't know you, but i think i hate you. i'm originally from sask..want to live in san diego:) LOL
-
i don't. would rather use the "jean size" test:) everything else comes along for the ride for me in measurements:)

i agree with this. my feet kill me when i try to run, no matter the weight. i have expensive custom made orthotics for my shoes..marginal improvement only. i can run just a brief spring, longer distances. just pounds my feet until they are painful so...many other ways to stay fit without running (i find elliptical to be a…

was in agym in a hotel and treadmills were side by side. i turned to look for water cooler, lost my balance. i fell on the treadmill behind the guy next to me while he was running. worse, i was at a conference and i walked up to some people i knew at a reception. guess who one of the guys turned out to be? the runner was a…

i've seen the first 2 swedish ones. never made the 3rd. i was struggling to keep my attention on movie 2. i won't be seeing the u.s. versions, i don't think.

your energy level and mood are a few good indicators of the health of your body and weight. how are those?
-
didn't think that was too low a weight until i saw you were 5 ft 8in. not judging, just seems low. not seeing what u look like, i really have no educated perspective.

i'm with you on the weekday/wknd thing....leaving the rest of it alone:)
