  • Don't feel bad. At least you did not lose the shot for a history making 3 peat (4 for 5) national championship because of the 4 missed field goals and the craziest play in SEC history. 8-/
  • I just made a spreadsheet for my training. speed across the top (2.0-6.0 mph in .1 steps) incline down the side (0-10% in 1% steps) each block has minutes (10-60 in 2 min steps) each workout is slightly different and more difficult 2.0 mph at 0 incline for 10 mins 2.1 mph at 0 incline for 10 mins 2.0 mph at 1% incline for…
  • Hello, I just came back to this site and to WW. I am at 361 - the heaviest I have ever been. I am not happy about it either. Anyway, I have struggled my whole adult life but 361 is completely out of control. It is time to get this under control before it kills me.
  • I just started WW. My first weigh in was 362 >:-( My ultimate goal is 199-225 (depending on muscle and how I feel) My minor first goal is 349 and one pant size. My first major goal is 299 and three pant sizes. My weigh ins are on Thursdays.
  • Don't beat yourself up. The fact that she parks in a handicap spot at a gym to do anything other rehab disgust me. Think about putting some space between you and them (for fitness anyway.) Why surround yourself with people you don't really respect and don't really make you the best you can be? Do you own thing and smile…
  • My doctor told me that I had to have surgery. I told her no. Nothing against others who have done it, but I want the satisfaction of doing it myself. In addition, if you don't solve the problems that got you to the point we are at, we will be there again. My self esteem is damaged by being obese. It is all about being out…
  • Luckily, I never smoked or had a drinking problem. I have never done drugs. Food, however, is a whole other story. I eat a zone bar (chocolate mint) for breakfast when I don't have time to make eggs. They are easy and fast and filling. They taste great and are not bad for you. Much better than skipping breakfast all…
  • I am starting over for the millionth time... You have not failed until you quit trying. Hang in there.
  • Just so you know....Disney (World) is very fat friendly. I am 360lbs and 6' tall and can ride all the rides (not 100% on Space Mountain - it was down for maintenance.) Good for you for losing weight, just letting you know about Disney. Islands of Adventure, etc are NOT as fat friendly (roller coasters, etc.) PS - I am also…
  • Congrats on taking the first step. I have only been on a few days and I can tell you that there are a ton a nice non-judgmental people on here willing to help you obtain your goals. I think you are on the right track. Sodium and excess weight are two leading contributors to HBP. Do everything you can to get it back down to…
  • Congrats on taking the first step. I have only been on a few days and I can tell you that there are a ton a nice non-judgmental people on here willing to help you obtain your goals. I know that a lot of people gain weight when they quit smoking. Its great that you will have more support during these difficult times. I…

  • As a diabetic, I was told to never eat carbs without protein. The balance somehow keeps your blood sugar in check. Blood sugar affects glucose and glucose affect weight. I am not a doctor, just stating what doctors have told me. I would also assume, that the lack of crashing also helps in not consuming more calories to…
  • I am betting that you are not eating enough at the right times. Try eating five 300 cal meals per day on the days you work out and four on the days you dont for two weeks. What is the worst that can happen? You gain a pound or two? The best? You lose a few and figure out the issue. JMO.
  • Thanks so much to all of you. I am already glad I joined this site. I assume you are diabetic since you know your blood sugar numbers? 86 lbs in 4 months? That is amazing! My blood pressure was 195/110 the other day. I would have been thrilled with your "before" numbers. Can you just tell me three things that really helped…
  • Thanks to all of you for the instant support. I already feel a little better. It is just soooo frustrating. I had a personal trainer for 2 years a few years ago and did not lose 20. I was strong as an ox (thank God I saw some benefits) but could not lose. I watched what I ate, 30 min on treadmill and 30 min cross-training…
