  • Actually the opposite. I lost some weight and everything has been back on track so far. I wasn't sure if it was an age thing (I am 41) or weight or both. But seems to have gotten me back on schedule. I have heard that loosing or gaining can throw things off.. Or maybe you should get a test!
  • OP: Awesome and uplifting story! What an inspiration. invaluable means priceless
  • lmao gross. That would definetly be motivation to not even open the cabinet.
  • I started at 274 and have been loosing SLOWLY but consistently. 20 lbs since Jan 6. I am sure that isn't really super slow but I would like to loose 20 lbs a week- who the heck wouldn't? haa Patience. Just don't give up! Log in every day, log food honestly. And again, just don't give up!
  • thanks! I just posted earlier today for fav links but only got one hit.
  • I actually did that one today ^. I was hoping for a bigger response. Oh well. Guess I will weed through youtube.
  • Sorry, I have the Polar ft4. But I can tell you that I burn 300 calories walking in just over 30 minutes at 3 mph and incline of 3 to 4. So Maybe 500 ish for running isn't too crazy?
  • I agree with the Dr Oz gimmicks and that foods alone do not boost your metabolism, but it does sound good. That would be the only reason I would drink it.
  • I feel sorry more sorry for the wife. Ugh what a d***. Maybe just tell him that he doesn't need to worry about your diet. And I agree with the jellybeans lol, offer him some. If I was feeling particularly evil, I would give his wife some jelly beans. Constantly talk about cheese, the different kinds, tastes, how you like…
  • Because I have steadily been losing since jan 6th and am not about to mess it up now! At 19 pounds down, I can visibly see and feel some differences.
  • I don't. Two reasons why- If I weigh in a pound less than last time, then weigh again the next day same time, I may have gained half a pound or pound back, but then on the third day or fourth day, I will be down even more than I was the first day. Now if I farmed out for a few days or fell off the wagon and gained 5 lbs, I…
  • And for anyone who wants to reply to me personally, dont waste your time. I got what I needed from the thread and am done here :)
  • Why don't you get over yourself? I asked for opinions knowing there would be so me people incapable of reading and or understanding what I was asking about. I'd say thanks for your time, but it was indeed a waste.
  • Wow thanks for ASSuming things. I have lost 19 lbs since Jan 6 and have adjusted my food intake and am slowly upping my activity levels. I also am not looking to compensate with food. Again, thanks for your useless assumptions. Here's a big shocker for you. I don't eat back calories burned. Imagine that!~ And I am still…
  • I GET what you are saying, I truly do. But I don't think you are getting that this is NOT normal stuff in MYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY daily, weekly or monthly routine. And I am talking about my normal acitivities, not yours. This was just a test to see what the HRM would say since I just got it and was curious.
  • Also, I just decided to put the HRM on to see what it would do. Sure I stated that in my original post? I just got it a couple days ago and was curious what it would say I burned during the shopping trip.
  • lmao! I have had a few of those. I feel ya.
  • That is an idea. I have been very sedentary up til January. Maybe it is time to change my acitivty level on here. I hadn't considered it because I guess I haven't had the confidence to label myself other than sedentary even though I started going to a gym last week.
  • THis is my point, because I know that I was more active today than a normal day. I think 859 is ridiculous to count, but some of it should be counted.
  • Yes, walking is exercise. I go to the gym and bust *kitten* on the treadmill at an incline at 4 mph and I am pretty sure that is exercise. And yes, for the third time, it (an almost 4 hour shopping trip most of which I was walking albeit slower than 4 mph) is over and above what I would normally do on any day, therefor it…
  • No, walmart trips are my normal routine. Are you reading what I am posting? The mall trip for almost 4 hours was more than I normally do in a week.
  • No, I haven't even owned it for 3 days lol, but that is a good idea. Thanks!
  • No, this is not daily activity. I do not go shopping at the mall and walk for the most part of 4 hours. I do not count weekly shopping trips to walmart etc. I was also toting bags of clothes, shoes
  • I just bought the Polar FT4 after reading a lot of threads on here about it.
  • I think the sarcastic comments come from his fear of you getting healthy and looking good. My husband supports me quite well, and always tells me how proud his is when I tell him I've lost another pound. He has never once said anything about what I eat. He knows that if I am eating it then I can "afford" it. We talked…
  • Thankfully I won't need to use the two showers. They are dirty! Looks like they haven't been cleaned in months. Gross! Everything else seems to be clean. Anytime Fitness.
  • It was really useless to wet it before putting it on, as the water just rolled right off. So, I put it on, got it tucked under my bra and then wet my fingers and slid them under the strap, rubbed back and forth etc. Worked fine.
  • Yeah, it is one long strip of rubber type stuff. Thanks!
