• Welcome Acaia Finest! :) Sorry to hear baout injuries, comes with the territory, but always hard to hear about!! i'm sure if you jeep your lean protein up that the low carb shouldn't be a problem. i'm not a low carber though, so I dunno. i do know that low protein makes me feel all wonky. So if you keep that up, maybe…
• I use a body media HRM for practices to figure the burn. It varies practice to practice, depending on what we arte doing that night. I really love having that. Last night it was 732 calories for 2 hours.
• Roller Derby, but close enough!
• Burned 606 last night. A lot of endurance, some mock scrimmage work and blocking pairs. Fun fun!!
• Keep doing what you're doing. If you limit the amount, but still lose, then you are on the right track. Adding in physical activity is only going to help! just make sure you are eating enough and you'll be good and staying on the road to loss!
• Welcome Malicious Kitty and out beautiful Freshmeat! (We LOVE freshmeat around here!) When I saw the groups here, I looked for derby and was bummed when none came up. then I saw that handly little "create group" button. Tada!! Our group was born! And I love seeing it grow!

• Stand with your feet together at the ankles with your toes pointed out to the side as far as you can and then squat your butt down (think ballerina)
• You could call it "strength training" I think there is taht option in the cardio area, or log each move seperately in the strength section of exercise.
• Welcome, welcome, Beaux toxx and Rileyy!! Oh, Beaux, those are some pretty massive injuries. i can understand your fear. I hope derby love wins and you're back to reffing ASAP! Sounds like both you ladies have the derby bug, ain't it great! I've been skating since February, but due to back injuries I'm still not skills…
•
I have a friend that plays roller Derby near Philadelphia, PA. She LOVES it and it looks like so much fun!! I used to roller skate, but I think I have too many back injuries to get into derby. Burns lots of calories, though, I bet.
It does! We practice for 2 hours and I wear a HRM during that... usually…
• Lay on the floor on your stomach and raise yourself up on your toes and your forearms. Hold that position, with your back flat and belly tight. To side plank, same starting position but turn your shoulders so they are in a straight line up and down and hold yourself up with one arm.
• I'd go for 3-4 times a week. It's a quick workout and easy to squeeze in!
• Hello sweaty mommas out there! Room for one more? My name is Rachel (or FunkBunny, which ever, i answer to both) I'm mom to 3 awesome kids, my two boys ar 11 and 7 and my step daughter is 8. I work full time outside the home and play roller derby. the majority of my calorie burn comes from derby practice, but my goal is to…
• And I'm in Sanford, Mi! Welcome to the site and the state! :)
• Sounds to me like your body just caught on to what you're doing. Sometimes it takes a few weeks for your body to adjust to the new lifestyle and start lettingt he weight go. Also, you're new effort is probably paying off! As for the not making your calroies or the lack of apetite. Sometimes exercise is an appetite…
• You're lost 12 pounds! that is not worth giving up on! Get up, dust yourself off and keep on it! Slam some water, go get active and get sweaty, you'll feel better in the end. Besides... pig roasts are a part of life, right up there with birthdays, holidays, and those days where a doughnut soudns good. You indulge and move…

• I have a Body Media Fit and it tracks my calories burned 24-7. including when i sleep, eat, sit on my but or sweat my butt off. i know what you are saying with the "idle" calories being in there and are they counted or not. I guess I would say if you are losing with the numbers you are working with now, stick with it. But…
• Your BBQ weight is merely water and nothing more. Anything you lost you did not gain in one sitting. But, your body needs to handle and deal with the sodium and calorie intake you threw at it. no worries, hit the water HARD, drink lots of it, add lemon or lime juice to help speed the retained water from your body. You get…
• BUrned 209 calorieson the elliptical in 15 minutes (sweat is still drying) and I spent an hour+ walking up and down stairs in 5 120' tall production towers.
• Dammit, now I'll have to go and REALLY look at my boobs to see if I think they are "Jolly" or "Fierce" Seriously...fierce? Hmmm...Cuddly and Glistening I can get behind, but that one... I dunno. And I shop at Wal-Mart...there isn't a set day for this, some folk have been supporting breast cancer awareness their whole lives.
• Hummus and celery is a favorite of mine...low sodium as well!
• You are right. Basically... when you drink alcohol you in jest those calories, but what people don't think about is that your body wants to get rid of the alcohol. So your body will burn that off first, meaning it stops burning fat for energy and starts burning the alcohol until it is out of your system, which takes…
• You make me so happy and so proud! You inspire me, babe!
• I have one of these little beauties! I love it! I love seeing my sleep efficiency. I love checking my calories burned for each and every minute of the day. And I also like their food tracking system better than here (sorry MFP). It's very easy to wear, I have gotten a different band and a 'skin" for the BMF (BodyMedia Fit…
